This is what I received from them on 11/6

I would contend that WBC's Tropical Lightning is every bit as good as surf wax as far as core West Coast IPAs go- lucky to have some solid options in NC!

Also, New Anthem is releasing Neon God (El Dorado DDH this time) and New Jack cans tomorrow. No distro on Neon God, but New Jack should be available for limited distro.

Tropical Lightning is my favorite west Coast style ipa in the state. It’s better than both Surf Wax and Pernicious IMO.

If you would’ve told me a year ago that a lot of the state’s best hoppy beers would soon be coming out of Wilmington I would’ve looked at you funny to say the least, yet here we are. Not sure if that makes me slow on the uptake or what, but it’s nice to have different regions doing it well.

Heading to Charlotte next Friday for football game. When you say Heist stopped canning you mean no crowlers?

New Anthem available anywhere in Charlotte cans or draft?

New Jack is the only IPA that is seeing distro and I believe its only going to a few bottle shops in Raleigh/Durham. I haven't heard that anyone from Charlotte will have any, but thats not to say that a bottle shop isn't driving down here to pick up a few cans.

In other news-WBC is releasing Lighting Strikes Thrice in cans today- DDH Triple IPA version of Tropical Lightning! 10.2% will get you feeling right for thanksgiving

Heist still does crowlers.. two per person limit. Resident Culture is worth checking out, too.

Hush now. Don't be telling people about Resident Culture. That's our little secret and we aren't ready to tell the world about it yet!

New Anthem's 11/17 DDH Neon God is drinking fantastic and is a huge expression of El Dorado. The only nitpick with the DDH Neon God was a couple of floaties from the two cans that we imbibed. New Jack is a wholly refined beast and perfect. New Anthem is getting dialed in proper. Now if only they would drop Roadside Prophet in cans.

    Cheers and Happy Thanksgiving!

New Jack is hazier than I remember previously, it’s fantastic.

High Branch just canned their hazy IPA Promise Ring. It is fantastic.

How often do they can Promise Ring?

I'm not really sure. I know they had 45 cases and they sold out in one day. My fiance has family near the brewery and we just happened to be in town Wednesday.

I believe they've only every canned it twice, the other time being their first cans back in August.

Brewery Bhavana’s Cart (triple IPA) is really, really good and I don’t even like triple IPAs.

Passing through Charlotte this weekend and plan on hitting up Resident. Any recommendations for what they have at the moment? Also do they do cans or crowlers?
