BCBS 2017 NYC Releases

Did a 5 year vertical with some friends this year and we included the 2015; we actually didn't think it was that bad.

 

Not every batch was infected. Sounds like you got lucky. Unless you guys are into spoiled cherry stouts...?

 

It was definitely an infected bottle but we said what the hell and tried it anyway. Made for a nice little sour cherry stout.

 

Haha more power to you guys! The two bottles I had were so infected they singed my cilia hahah

 

Is it Urban Market? I stopped in there last year for the release, and asked the beer guy if they had any Coffee. His response was "yeah, but I'm keeping it."

 

Spoke to one of the beer guys at WF Tribeca and he said they're not getting any variants this year, and only a couple cases of barleywine.

 

It was Urban Market, and that's really shitty of him. They also had Good Gourd and Mexican Cake when I was there.

 

Food Emporium in Manhattan pulled the same shit. I was there and they tried to sell me a bottle of barleywine for $19.99. Told me I should shop there because they're "doing me a favor" selling it early. When I asked if they had Coffee the guy told me no with one in his hand.

 

Westside market on 7th AVE has reg and BW. Also one coffee left as of 5:30.

 

RnH has a raffle for 11 bottles to drink on prem. That’s going down in an hour or so.

 

Anyone going to this?

 

Wf ues has barleywine @13.99. I saw 3 cases on the floor

 

They had up early on BM that they had BCBCS too. Screw those guys.

Just me or did RnH falsely advertise their event. Insta showed 6pm event, get there, coffee is a 730 tapping and Northwoods is 11 bottles for raffle only. Come on...

Left and went to Dive Bar for their event, so much better.

 

Who's going to have Northwoods on Saturday? Either on tap or bottles

 

From what I’ve been told, most Whole Foods aren’t getting any.

 

Who's having events tomorrow? Hoping to catch some stuff on tap. I know top hops obviously but who else? Any whole foods?

 

According to Beer Menus Whole Foods Columbus Circle will be selling 1 bottle of Barleywine and coffee per person (not sure if that's an either/or situation) starting at noon tomorrow. I've never been but in years past I think they sell out pretty quickly, though you might have an easier time getting those than waiting pre-dawn at Top Hops.

 

I'd love to see a pic of someone sitting in a lawn chair there waiting outside the door of the taproom to open at noon.
