Agreed. The store I saw is a very small store not even in Madison or Milwaukee.

It would be odd if Wisconsin didn't get Northwoods, given, you know, the Northwoods inspiration and all...

Walked into a mom and pa liquor store in 2013 on the day before Thanksgiving and walked out with a half case each of prop, backyard, and regular......the good old days!!!

They distributed prop to PA? Must’ve been some kind of Amish variant.

Green Bay has a decent sized craft beer market so I am surprised they didn’t get any variants. Myself, if I get a bottle of stout fine, if I don’t then meh....plenty of other options.

Not even Ridgeview? That seems very odd

I'm considering going to the new North Riverside Binnys Friday morning, thinking it will be a little less hectic? Is this a bad idea? Should I just go to LP? Guide me...

She'll probably need to do a short phone interview. She's looking for somebody tonight![/QUOTE]

This last sentence makes me feel a lil naughty...

Went to the oak brook store when it was brand new, and the allocations weren’t very good, because they weren’t based an sales.

If you’re planning on going anywhere before 8am, just go to LP.

I called there yesterday to try and get more info about them being an event store and how limited variants would be. but the person they connected me to in Liquor sounded like a quiet old lady and wasn’t too sure on the information. Will probably give a call over again today to see if I can talk to someone with a little more knowledge.

Forget interviewing people, I'd recommend a method reporting approach here. Get in the trenches - feel the elements, listen to the banter and smell the smells. Oh, the stories she'll have to tell.

Have a couple questions that may or may have not been answered in this 30 page thread.

For those who have done this before, curious if you are allowed to bring any type of heating device. Small propane heater? Can you bring a sleeping bag/chairs and just crash out there?

Also I was told there is a strict open container law. I'm sure there is drinking. I assume you put your booze in a non-discreet cup and keep to yourself?

People at LP definitely have full-blown tents, so a sleeping bag is fine. I'm not sure about the heaters, but I'm sure people have brought them.

You're not supposed to drink, but plenty of people do. If you're going to do it, try to be discreet (as you said), so that Binny's doesn't get stopped from doing this event ever again.:stuck_out_tongue:

depends on what you want ... LP will have the biggest stock - I've heard rumblings from binny's people that the suburban stores will be seeing smaller allocations of the variants than in years past. LP is keeping more than usual.

Tents, heaters....what is this, glamping? All kidding aside, en route in my RV. Does Binny's LP have full or partial hookups?

Hey all! Does anyone have any info about the Friday event at Timmy's? Usually they provide more info but have been pretty cryptic about what will be available. Is it wrong to assume they will be getting all the variants like they have in previous years?
