I didn't, was in a hurry to hit grocery store and couple other liquor stores. Will report back tomorrow.

I'm starting to feel this way about Corridor as well. Had the mosaic last night. Decent beer but nothing I'm rushing back for. I was super hyped on Corridor at the beginning but it seems like they haven't made any improvements and there is certainly a consistency issue as well.

Forbidden Root on the other hand is showing no sign of slowing down, new brewer or not. I expect this new batch of Snoochie to be better then the last.

That’s interesting, as I’ve not really noticed any issues with consistency at Corridor. There are certainly some of their offerings that I’ve not liked as much as others, but I’ve found their overall game to be ahead of FR (not that FR is bad, I just prefer Corridor).

Agreed. But the last batch of Smoochies from FR was excellent.

A FR vs Corridor constant comparison is inevitable (Treehouse and Trillium are constantly compared and they’ve both been doing their thing longer). The Chicagoland NEIPA game is so strong right now compared to even a year ago. The next step (albeit the most difficult step probably) is when our hazy beer market matures to the point that the breweries are scaled up enough to have hazy cans available on a daily basis. Excited for that day whenever it comes

I'll throw some fuel to the fire: Corridor=make it there at least once a month and probably more often. Forbidden Root=.... yeah, haven't felt the urge to go there in quite some time. Every time I read 'Ohh my God!! Best NE IPA ever!' about some FR beer, my thoughts on that beer have been 'meh... pass', to the point I have no curiosity about their beers anymore. Different folks, different strokes I guess. And I'll be stroking Corridor all day over FR.

I sadly don't see that happening at all for Corridor. They simply don't have enough space and have no further room for expansion.

FRs cans lately last a good amount of time and it might be the best we will see from them going forward.

I'm the complete opposite. Corridor's "best" beers have just been good to great for me, but FR's best have been as good as any NEIPA I've had, including the heavy-hitters on the coasts.

It is personal preference alone, and I think most are in agreement (though I guess not you since you think FR is meh) that both FR and Corridor are really stellar and there's room for both.

One thing I’m thankful for is that the brewers/employees of the breweries we care about often engage with us on here. They probably don’t always like every opinion we state but we can all appreciate how an open dialogue is good for brewers and drinkers.

Love Corridor and hosting this past Thanksgiving we had SqueezeIt and Mosaic Monsoon growlers for my family. My father in law had SqueezeIt last time he was over and asked if I had more of that really good beer! I laughed and said I sure do in those growlers. Needless to say both growlers were quickly empty before the end of the night. Mosaic Monsoon was really good but SqueezeIt is better. Can't wait for some CJB!

    From Corridor:

"We’re releasing an 11% Imperial Stout to warm you up for the holidays!

It was brewed with hazelnut and cacao nibs, so let your imagination run wild with thoughts of a deep rich Nutella stout.

Also, get excited because 30 gallons of the Stout will be racked into Few Spirits whiskey barrels. We’ll release this barrel aged version in 2018. More info TBA.

    Cheers!"

    Looking forward to this!!

Ahh yes, they need to dial in the stout game. My expectations are tempered for this release.

Made one of my pit stops earlier in the week at corridor and had a shorty of Van Hazen V as a prelude to some pints of Mosaic Monsoon.

I have had Van Hazen V on a few occasions and don't know that it qualifies as sugar water. For me it was a pretty clean citrus flavor, a little unripe pineapple. Pretty refreshing with a subtle earthiness on the Finish.

I really enjoyed the Mosaic Monsoon. Has a nice fruity aroma. A hint of sweetness on the first swallow and very tropical, a little pineapple and a lot of melon. Next time I see Rodger I'll have to ask him how the cryo hops played into this because it is definitely raising the bar again.

Personally I don't think Corridor has any consistency issues. Some of their beers don't have the same intensity but every crowler I've ever shared and purchased for another individual has always been well received. Corridor is one of the few breweries were I will actually drink a beer style that I'm not particularly fond of because I know how much effort they put into making a quality product.

Call me fan boy if you want because I probably am. But I know if I want to see some friendly faces and have a good beer and some great food Corridor is the place for me.

Not sure if anybody's checked Corridor's web page but it looks like we may get some Squeezit cans the holidays.

    Cheers

Agreed. I’ll admit I’m a big fan but I don’t believe I’ve experienced any consistency issues. Still haven’t made it in for a Monsoon yet but will rectify that this week
