by chains, do you mean Meijer? Just wondering if Meijer gets BCBS, and if they do, when do they start selling it

also, Clarkston Union seems to have 14,16,17 Black Note, and on Friday they are selling 15 4 packs of KBS (14,15,16,17) verticals for $50. Just throwing this out there in case anyone is interested,

 

A driver for a different distributor said he saw it going in to a couple Kroger stores this morning. I didn't ask where. A friend said some of the Meijers in Washtenaw CO took delivery last night.

 

We’ll have 2017 on tap at Ford Field tomorrow for the Thanksgiving Day game.

 

My local store has assured me he has regular, barleywine and northwoods. Limit of 3 in total so I will likely get one of each.

 

Gone are the days of getting vanilla rye or 4 packs of bcbcs. Hell, we barely see coffee and now barelywine is going to be limited???

Either michigan stopped drinking GI or other places started drinking more....

 

Does anyone have an idea when Meijer starts selling it? I’m pretty sure they’re open straight through Thanksgiving - does that mean they put it out at midnight or do they wait until the morning?

I heard that a few locations got it last year but I missed it.

 

We barely got VR. Came like 2 weeks late and maybe 10-15 cases statewide. Those 4packs of reg sure were nice.

Cap & Cork in Comatock Park looks like they got a good load of reg/bw/coffee/northwoods for their midnight release tomorrow.

 

I went to stores that Meijer said were in receipt of BCBS shipments last year, and folks working in the store had no knowledge of it and could not find any "in the back". These were stores that corporate said still had it in stock....

So Meijer and BCBS continues to be a mystery to me. It would not surprise me if every store did it slightly differently. I think some stores might put it out on the shelf and others might have a person who holds the proverbial keys.

 

Not sure it is a distributor issue, but a major store here in Indiana, and one of the only large stores to get variants indicated when I called earlier today that "allocations are changing by the hour," whatever the fuck that means. I assumed he was just having a rough day, but maybe there is more to it than that.

 

Zetouna posted they are selling 2014 BCBS on their Facebook today. I assume its gone by now, but that was great to see. Anyone know how much they had for sale?

 

I've been told that Fabiano Bros. only received BCBS this year.

It is confirmed that Rishi’s won’t have variants available on Black Friday, per a comment on their FB page. I wouldn’t necessarily assume that he didn’t receive any. Rishi takes good care of his regular customers. Great guy.

 

But then loses out on gaining new customers (ie me) because releases get saved for regulars instead of being offered to others

 

No doubt a great guy, friendly as hell, but I can’t stand the markups which are consistently higher than every other independent shop in town. Give me Horrocks every day of the week.

Anybody know if Costco Brighton is planning on getting some?
