Shit ton of empty chairs in the line by me and what appear to be lots of people sitting in cars.

 

Wife and I got here about 3:30-3:40 and were basically under the Best Buy sign on Kingsbury. Have no idea what the line is going to do when they get to North Avenue.

 

It’s not even that bad out. If you’re out here without an ice shanty and a propane heater that’s your own fault.

 

Anyone at the Batavia Jewel event store? Curious how the 10 am start time vs 7 am for the rest of the Jewels will affect the line. My guess is “not much” with the madness we’re seeing.

Also, anyone concerned at these event Jewels that the blog said it’s up to each store’s discretion on how many variants everyone gets? With the massive lines and general lack of any beer release experience of these Jewel store managers, there’s no way that they won’t limit it to one.

Reports from LP led me to go to HP, 5 minutes from my house. Would have liked that extra Prop, but didn’t want to chance missing out completely.
That said, the last few years I’d arrive at HP at around 6:30-7:00 and get the full allotment. This year arrived at 5:00. 21st in line. Now at 5:30, at least 50.
Getting too old for this!

It’s next level this year. I’m guessing the combo of the largest allotment level yet/anywhere and the relatively good weather resulted in the crazy turnout.
