BCBS 2017 NYC Releases

From what ive heard, only 20 cases made it to the city. So its going to be a hard bottle to find (at least here).

 

I'm fine with just trying it on tap. I've already come to terms with myself that I'm not getting a bottle. Top Hops had two cases and Rattle n Hum East had the third case.

 

How prevalent on tap will it be? Do I have to run down to Top Hops for lunch? Also, does the crowd dissipate after Top Hops closes after their bottle sale?

 

I want to but im going paintballing. Might go later. What time are you going?

 

I am doing the VIP from 3pm to 4pm, probably hang out a bit after that until 5 I would say. With all those high ABV beers, going to try hard to stop from drinking too much !

 

I'm waiting in a line in front of the bar in the basement of a Whole Foods. I wish I could say this was a new low. Got here about 5 mins before open and I'm still among the first 10 people. At least it's warmer here than the sidewalk in the LES.

I love BCBCS, but if GI is only able to produce such a limited quantity or are just sending extremely limited quantities to this area, I am over it, not even worth worrying about it. Will get a pour at event at Croxleys and be happy. Like you guys wish I could get a bottle, but if they can't or won't increase the supply, not going to lose sleep over it. Some of the regular BCBS over years has been incredible and it is relatively easy to get.

 

I missed out on getting any bottles of coffee this year but does Columbus circle have any of it on tap? I remember last year I was able to get all the coffee I could drink there.

 

That’s pretty surprising considering they’re one of the few locations that actually got any Coffee. Whole Foods in gowanus didn’t even get anything.

 

Did no Reserve (Knob Creek) make it to the city at all?

 

I saw some press releases that said it was KY and IL only but it seems to have made its way around. Another reason to shit on AB-InBev ?

 

Agreed. That's why I was curious. I thought IL/KY only but know people in NC and FL that scored 1-2 bottles

Apparently only 6 kegs of Northwoods made it to the city. I can account for half of then already. So if you see it somewhere and havent had it, go get it. This info might be false, but it came from a buyer of a bar.

 

Had Northwoods today, greet smell, a bit sweet. Nice beer, but nothing to get worked up about.

 

Amazing event. Well run, awesome crowd and staff. Great beer, food, music and scene, loved it!

 

Was getting a growler at WF Gowanus. They have a custom pre-made “We do not have any BCBS” sign.

I thought I’d be able to get a split case of regular and BW at gowanus... last year they had cases sitting around.
