God damn it does sound fantastic. Unfortunately I am allergic to most nuts (hazelnuts included). I hate when breweries don't cater to my every day well being! Finback clearly doesn't care about their customers.

Finback announces their first stout is being released on Black Friday. I presume it will be this one

Horus was over here, not too long ago, collaborating with a ton of folks; two of which have already dropped. So, wouldn’t be surprised if others were to follow suit, unless constraints were involved with some of these collabs

So they're not kidding... That coffee includes partially digested coffee beans eaten and defecated by the Asian palm civet. I am simultaneously intrigued and disgusted...

Kopi Luwak coffee is more of a novelty than anything. Had it at an agrotourism place in Bali, and while it's good coffee, I've had better. That may be a function of better brewing practices at different places. Also, there are varying grades of it.

I've also heard it said that a lot of the civets that are used to produce this coffee are kept in rather horrid conditions. The place I went, they seemed to have the run of the grounds, but that's probably not true everywhere.

100% agree. Is it good coffee? Yes. Worth the money? No. From the same region you can get Dry Processed (aka natural) Bali Kintamani which blows the doors off it, and cheaply. That said, I still want this beer!

They’ve got 260 bottles with a 4 bottle limit. Can anyone whos been to a release recently comment on how early to arrive? Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

I'm not really sure why people would be lining up at length for this. An unknown beer that's not barrel aged and an unknown triple IPA. The only time Finback seems to be overwhelming is on BQE day.

Guess this is going to be popular. I may need to trade for one as I am no longer in the city as much. Is AOTP Army of the Pharaohs?

Anyone try the new IPA w/ coconut? Smooth Beats Miami is a top-3 IPA on the planet for me (BIG coconut guy) so I'm trying to see how much of this stuff I should grab when it gets upstate.

Yeah we get pretty much everything they do up here. I don't think Whale Farm ever made it up but can't think of anything else in a while that hasn't.

Yeah I was there this weekend and had the Cosmic Vibration (coffee/coconut) IPA. Similar to Smooth beats but a little more hop bite than I remember plus strong coffee flavor. Solid beer, picked up a 4 pack. The Hawk and Whale stout was excellent though cans were long gone when I got there.

The Hawk and Whale coffee stout were in bottles and sold out fast. I agree it was excellent with the Kopi Luwak coffee.
