Black Friday houston

No I live in Oklahoma but was here to visit a friend for Thanksgiving. Thanks for the generous offer though man. But no I will just look for it in Oklahoma because I'm heading back today but Oklahoma typically gets releases pretty late. I'm going to hit up specs still here at 10 and Costco's probably on the way back. Will Specs in Waco probably have any? I just want regular, coffee or Northwoods would be bonus.

 

I've been in Houston for the past 3-4 black Friday's and out of TX before that so I'm not really sure what's available in Waco on that day, but I wouldn't be surprised if they got some regular BCBS, but probably not any variants.

The HEB in Woodway/Hewitt, generally has the best beer selection in town.

 

Anyone need sighting updates for Katy? I'll probably get hunting here in the next hour or two.

 

Ha. Had a beer buyer at HEB ask who "I was with" like I must have some secret knowledge or something. It's Black Friday, d00d.

Went to HEB in Spring and The Woodlands and no BCBS. Whole Foods in The Woodlands has reg, 2 bottle limit. Spec's in Spring off 45N has reg and BWine. Couple places didn't receive it yet. Got some other goodies, but only 4 BCBS and 1 BWine

 

Specs Midtown had Barley, Norrthwoods, and regular....HEB buffalo Speedway had regular and they had some barrel aged Pumpkinator too. One bottle limit on everything except regular BCBS, you can buy case at either location. this was around noon

Whole Foods The Woodlands had Black Crack cans, BA Pumkinator, Reg BCBS that I picked up. Along with Helldorado, Tweak, and vanilla WWS.
Had a good haul today, the BCBS is lacking though.

 

Spec's Spring is getting 3 cases of Northwoods tomorrow, limit 1 bottle.

 

HEB "Aliana Maket" at W. Bellfort/Harlem brought out an open case, and in it was a few Northwoods bottles and a few barleywine, and the rest was BCBS. Small allocation, it seems.

Total Wine at 99/Westpark Tollway had what looked like a case of Northwoods and Barleywine and a couple cases of BCBS

Not bad, considering I'm out here on the edge of the Houston Metro Area.

 

Anything left at Specs on Smith street? Only thing I am missing is Northwoods

Anyone crack into any bottles yet? Regular kinda reminds me of Stickee Monkee this year. The balance seems to be achieved more by a molasses bitterness rather than a coffee/dark chocolate roast bitterness.

Also, Northwoods is great! Fruit acidity brings a really great dimensions.

 

45 & Rayford. I imagine many will get Northwoods tomorrow. Beer manager guy told me there was delivery issues or something with the Nwoods. Whatever, I'll be there at 9:50am.

 

Got Northwoods at $22.99 at Spec's Spring, 45 & Rayford. Glad I got it, but I'm done running around.
