Took a look into the Salt Horse bottle shop and pub in Edinburgh at weekend. Utterly fantastic concept and an incredible collection of beer by the can, bottle and on pump.

Think that's owned by the same people who run the Hanging Bat and Koelschipyard in glasgow

Finished the Fullers&Friends sixpack with Rebirth that was done with Moor - it's the best of the bunch imo, really good beer.

Hopefully they do this again and there is room for improvement imo, also would like to see more of the old school regionals try this out with willing craft breweries.

Ouch - that's quite a markup. I can recall being able to buy it locally a few years back for about £7. Still, if ABInbev can sell it....

I have to confess that I succumbed to black Friday beer fever earlier and bought some brews from several webshops. That's my Christmas sorted!

Currently consoling myself with Thornbridge's Melba and Brewdog's Dead Metaphor.

Nice Sat evening at Lost and Grounded, showcasing Bristol brewery beers :

Lost and Grounded Running with Spectres, Dig that Well Deeper, Marzen, Passitivity
    Left Handed Giant Deeper Water
    Moor Moormont

All really nice ,standout the IPA Passitivity, very good juicy banger. Deeper Water, a sweet stout with vanilla also worth a mention.

They're pint bottles now, weirdly. Imperial pints.

Now that is weird - specially for the UK market? A pint seems a bit too much....

No it’s the same over there now as well. If you have someone to share it with then it’s better than having one to yourself.

It's just oddly specific. I'd expect the 660 bombers like they had for the vanilla BCBS which made it over here a while ago.

I said it would be me, didn’t I
but it’s the day before payday so I’m lucky to have three good beers to make up for it.
Even so I’m making a big song and dance of it.
With one foot holding him steady, Arthur Herbert Fonzarelli used his other to boot away the kick stand, brought his bike’s engine to life with a low growling purr & readied himself to become a contemptuous phrase.
But here it’s craft beer not the Fonz
    that’s jumping the shark
as once innovative but now twig water brewer
    Wychwood put out an IPA

The blurb on the back with my predictions in brackets.
Highly hopped (made in tall vats to which tiny bits of hops have to be lifted up) & aroma packed(?????).
Gobhoblin IPA stays true to its ancestral traditions (so why isn’t it bottle conditioned?)
Brewed with Fuggles, Goldings & Styrian hops (hmmmmmm) & then amped up by some mighty American hops (what were you saying about staying true?)
This collision (car crash or train wreck?) of old & new world hops provides an explosion(but with a whimper) of tropical aroma & juicy bitterness (I won’t hold my breath for either)
Born out of (wedlock as a boring bastard?) character

Sadly the tin is empty lol
and as for the hobgoblin ipa
there is a noiceable amount of hop oil so through ii there is some aroma and a little flavour but lacks real depth and flavour

Better than GK West Coast IPA
but I got all of those bottles in the pic came from the same Bargain Booze
