Bad news for people trying to get a 2017 BCBS pour at Canton World of Beer. The 1 keg they got this morning has a broken seal and will not pour.

Picked up two about an hour ago at Meijer's on Haggerty and 8 mile. They had six left, limit two per customer.

I went to just about every Kroger/Buschs between Farmington Hills and South Lyon, along with Whole Foods. Most either didn't get any, or no one there knew what the hell I was talking about. A few told me a couple Krogers SHOULD be getting them. But I couldn't find them.

A couple random middle eastern owned stores had them, or were expecting them, but said they were either reserved or only selling to customers they recognize.

I had no problem getting this stuff in Virginia the last couple of years. Insanely difficult to find out here in Michigan.

Kalamazoo area had no variants anywhere. MegaBev just had regular. Almost everyone was selling just one per person. Stopped at Sunny's on Whites rd and Westnedge. They tried to charge me $19.99 for a regular BCS. Walked out.

I think Mega bev changes up the store that gets variants every year. Last year it was the Oshtemo location, this year it was Hastings.

Three cases of Northwoods came to Wayne Co but they all went to bars.

Stopped at Grand Valley Liquors (GVL West) in Allendale late morning. No one there at all, asked if they had BC, guy asked if I could provide a drivers license with an Allendale address. When I said no, I have Grand Rapids address, he said “we don’t sell to you guys”. #boycott #fucktard

Yeah, and I actually live in Walker which is the very next city, but my DL says Grand Rapids since the zip code is shared between both. Dude was a total asshole, didn’t even try to be PC about it. Got a couple variants elsewhere and some reg so happy, was just floored by his statement.

Pretty brutal in Michigan this year. Very few variants anywhere it seems. Most places in Mid-Michigan got fractions of what they've had in previous years. 1 bottle per person usually.

We haven't seen coffee in years, but not even barleywine?! Pfft.....gonna just go to Odd Sides and Pigeon Hill next year.

Also kinda funny that Chicago folks are bummed when they miss out on reserve while getting 2 coffee, 2 northwood, several stout and barleywine from one stop....I probably went to 12 stores to get 8 bottles of reg.

That "one stop" cost many of my Chicago brethren about 12 hours of their lives.

Customer may be a bit of a misnomer if you're only going there to cherry pick the "good stuff". He's better off taking care of people that he knows pay the bills year round by buying the bulk of their beer there as opposed to someone popping in once or twice a year

Understood, just pointing out the disparity. The "disappointment" is all relative.

Seems like people in Chicago could have got 8 stout in a stop or two at costco and/or walgreen.

Anybody else think it’s a slap in the face to have Goose Island be the “craft beer” sponsor for LCA, then they shaft the entire state with the BCBS release?

Perhaps, but we all know the real story behind that. It all comes down to ownership.

I chased after BCBS with a buddy and had mixed results. He was getting on his phone with other friends throughout most of the day. He kept sharing that his friends were finding big retail stores like Meijer and Kroger received sizable allocations while many of the shops that we had good luck with in the past were fruitless this year. Anyone else experience these bigger stores getting allocations this year?

This is pretty much what it was in NW Ohio. I was at a Meijer where it was on the shelf with no limits. Seemed like Kroger/Meijer received several cases each, but I have no idea how they allocated.
