Anyone know of any tappings of variants in/or around the boston area? Wasnt able to get out for bottles today and assume everything but regular is long gone.

Had Northwoods on tap at the Hugh O'neills event. Initially it tasted fantastic, got lots of blueberry up front then more of an almond liqueur finish. As it warmed up, the blueberry stayed but the finish become more medicinal in flavor, almost like cough medicine. Dont get me wrong, the beer is fantastic and I would have bought a bottle if i saw it, but I'd recommend finishing while still cold.

On another note the 2013, bcbs and 2016 bcbs are drinking really well right now. 2014 bcbs was my least favorite if anyone cares.

I'm curious to try it, but I'm not sure about $25.00 to try it interested... does anyone happen to know why Northwoods is $10.00 more than all the others?

I dont, I left around 9 and there weren't too many people drinking dark beers. I'd guess they have a good selection still but that's just a guess.

Was there shortly after open today and everything is still on, 12-16 vert and the Northwoods. Left a half hour ago. Very chill. Perfect time to go.

‘13-‘16, not ‘12. They have ‘17, but not sure if they’re going to tap it when something kicks or save it until next year for a 5 year vertical.

Anything using fruit is going to be pricier to make.

Just picked up a bottle of regular at rapid liquors. 2 pp at $8.95 each. Looked to be about 3 cases left. A friend went to total wine in Everett yesterday and they had a ton of cases on display, 10.99 but didn’t see a limit

Rapid have some of the best pricing around.

Total wines has gradually crept up over the year. Still some great deals but its not the knockdown Walmart of liquor stores it was when it opened.

I've heard this is something they do when entering a new market. Doesn't surprise me.

Yeah I talked with the beer manager at Kappys when they opened and he said the same thing. Rock bottom prices, try to drive out the competition then raise them back to normal.
