TG built a new brewery. I don't know how much bigger the batches of kbbs will be, but I'm hoping it becomes reasonably obtainable.

There are many BA stouts on my wish list, but KBBS is on my bucket list.

It's on mine too, I'm just hoping the batches of their stouts get significantly bigger with the new facility.

Bigger batches means a drop in ratings.

I'd still drink a KBBS even if it dropped off the Top 500 list.

This is my feeling about Ayinger Celebrator.

I'd rather have Kbbs drop out of the #1 spot and actually be able to try it.

Well I think whether its BA stouts or NEIPAs, there is a "top shelf" of many incredible options now adays, and each individual person has their own preference as to which is better than the others in that top tier. No guarantee that KBBS will be better to you than a BA Cycle stout, BCBS, KBS, Dark Lord etc.

As long as I can still use my whales bro bottle opener I paid $80 for I am good with it.

Ayinger's Celebrator is the only beer I've gotten as a gift that I was absolutely delighted to receive. Anytime I go out to eat with friends and family at one of the local German restaurants, they always ask me what they should order for a beer - and I always say Celebrator. It's absolute delight in a glass, and consistently on the mark.

Did Hill Farmstead ever have the #1 beer?

Except that it won't be nearly as good as before, so you'll be getting a 2nd rate imitation!

Not sure KBBS would itself change with increased production, but certainly the competitors keep raising the bar. This has happened to KBS. They raised the quantity to the point where the luster is wearing off the cult status, and folks are realizing there are other options. KBS hasn't changed, but is being overtaken.

I don’t know if I recall a Hill Farmstead beer being ranked number one however many of them arguably could be. That said, Shaun Is considered by many the top Brewer in the world and rightly so. He does everything, and does it remarkably well.

Agree 100%. Across a multitude of beer styles, both in the made to traditional style and doing things more experimental/extreme, I've found no brewer hits the mark in high level craftsmenship like Hill Farmstead.

I don't think so, I believe Mimosa was up there at one point but it came out in 2011 and people reviewing it 4 years later didn't all give it high marks, so that has dragged it down considerably at this point.

Over the last 10 years this list has changed so much that at one point I had 50 on this list. Currently I have only tried 16. I just take the list with a grain of salt.
