Beer shop finds.

CBC Fenway, Redstone, and Fort Point Market all received Triple Barrel BBB today. Excited for that one. And unlike Double Barrel BBB, the beer was aged in more than one barrel!

 

Ball Square had all the variants last year, so hoping that's the case again, but haven't seen anything yet. Double Barrel and Baptista both really did it for me, so will be keeping a close eye out and will update.

 

Not sure it's anything special or whatnot, but when seeking Thanksgiving libations today, I came home with a big bottle of Troegs Mad Elf Grand Cru and MBC's Mean Old Tom from CBC, followed by a sixer of regular ol' Mad Elf and a four-pack of Down the Road's Festbier from Wegman's.

Needed something that wasn't hoppy to balance my fridge o' Trillium.

 

Can't be sure, but I've been seeing plenty of Jacks Abby Sibling Maker sitting on the shelves around me. Likely be able to find some when you come around.

 

Got mine at CBC Belmont last week. Good stuff, seemed really in short supply everywhere.

 

Just arrived @ Wegmans Burlington yesterday, beer guy said they only got 12 12-packs. Had a few last night & like a lot.

 

Did this make it to distro? Was under the impression it was brewery only. Really enjoyed Bennington.

Anyone else buy and oude mure tilquin in the past few months. The cork didn’t pop and had no carbonation, tasted like water. A bunch of untapped reviews say the same thing.

 

Pierre Tilquin has addressed the fact the bottles had trouble with refermentation in the bottle. It sounds like every bottle was affected. Tough to swallow at $20/375. But that's the nature of mixed fermented beers.

 

Thanks for the response. It’s too bad tilquin makes some really good beers that are more widely available than some of the Belgian lambic producers.

 

Anyone else find the Fresh Hop IPA from Sierra Nevada's Fresh Hop Pack to be as hazy as the last batch of Trillium's Heavy Mettle? Mine is essentially opaque. 10/25/2017 packaging date stamped on the can.

 

Chestnut Hill Wegmans had a bunch yesterday. $14.99.

 

Also couldn't find any fresh hop packs. Have to settle for crying into my Celebration and Born Yesterday bottles.

 

Yankee Spirits in Attleboro has/had Fantome Saison, and the two saison variants as of Black Friday 6pm.

I was very surprised to see it, considering how rare it is.

 

It's not that rare but an enjoyable bottle is...

 

The Melvin distribution around MA has been spot on, had pours of the 2x4 and Melvin ipas at publick house on Monday and picked up a 6 of 2x4, Melvin, and Hubert from Bacon’s in Hudson

Anyone still looking for Triple Barrel Baptist around Waltham? Dions on River St still had a few bottles as of yesterday.
