MA Bourbon County Release (2018)

I am walking into no name packies on the south coast asking if they have any, they do, and they sell it to me. I've got 3 bottles so far.

 

Most are probably all set but if you’re looking Dions River St in Waltham still has regular and 2016 regular

 

That was my go to spot when I lived over there. Few tasty brews and either a smokestack sub outta Russos or a couple of slices from Pini.

Yup. And their craft beer section has improved greatly in the last 6-8 months. If only they sold singles of all cans.

 

Their prices used to be so outta whack along with a beer buyer that isn't in the know. As a long time resident I'll give them another shot but not holding my breath. There's always lengua tacos close by.

 

Fair enough. I haven't noticed their prices being unreasonable. But I mean I'd much rather hit CBC or Martys for single cans. But Dions now has Night Shift, Lamplighter, etc. Stuff they didn't used to get. Just picked up a Triple Barrel Baptist from there for like $18. Maybe a tad expensive but it's extremely convenient for me as it's right on my commute to/from work.

 

That's great to hear because it's $3 up the street at Gordon's.

 

Are bottles around anywhere downtown Boston? Was on the west coast for the holiday and didn't bother looking at there.

 

If anyone sees Barleywine in the Watertown/Waltham/Newton area, please post. I missed out since I was out of town and would like to score at least one bottle.

 

Several cases of regular left at Kappy's in Medford - $130 a case

 

Right now I'm standing in kappys on Rt1 Saugus and there's a case of Barleywine on the floor, just staring back at me

 

Haha, I was there like 2 hours ago and grabbed 2 bottles.

 

On reflection, there may only have been 10 of the 12 bottles in that case remaining when I arrived. There's less than that now!

 

Any recent Barleywines spotted north of Saugus?

Luke's in Rockland did. Lots of folks grabbing them on Fri morning. Not sure how many they got total.

 

Really they got the barleywine? I thought they didn't

 

I think CBC Fort Point tweeted a while ago they still had some bottles. I'd call first though. And I imagine it's only the regular at this point, but who knows, maybe you'll get lucky.
