We blame the B&T crowd for everything. Prime example of that crowd keeping certain stores in business is Beer Table. It’s made for commuters who pay those ridiculous prices. Notice at Threes that Grimm cans only sell out once Saturday’s roll around. The OH trading group is full of mules from Jersey. The NJ BCBS thread has multiple posts recommending getting bottles in the city. I don’t blame commuters for doing it (except the muling, that sucks.) I just think they should support local business.

Everyone should do as they please that's why its called a free market.. Sell or buy where you want and you obviously haven't a clue about the rent in the city as a lot of businesses have been going belly up or relocating in these past couple of years.. Walk into a gristedes or d'agostino and then say the food emporium is overpriced on beer

My local While Foods here in Brooklyn, as mentioned in this thread multiple times. There are a couple others uptown that didn’t get any either.
Totally agree with you, buy where you want. I’m just not going to recommend it to anyone nor will I support ripping customers off.

I'm not even gonna hate because that is a damn fine beer and their price at least matches secondary. My only question is: what did you tip on a $150 bottle?

Is anyone going to Emmetts for their event tomorrow? I went 2 years ago and t was relatively chill, but when you post all over the internet that Vanilla Rye will “make an appearance” and your restaurant seats like 4 people, it sounds like a recipe for disaster. Just a head up that it sounds like they’re raffling a bottle so don’t get too excited.

Really? They listed it on BM at $150 I thought. I'm jealous either way.

Take the first number off... i'm VERY lucky. people in front of me said it was too much for them to drink at the moment, i chimed in to the side "i'll take it" and ended up sharing it with two people here. and by sharing, i mean, giving them super small 2oz pours haha.

Looks interesting (especially since I've missed out on next to everything). Do you know if it's exclusively bottle pours or a mix of pours and tap?

Good deal. You'd be lucky to get a bottle of KBS at Food Emporium for that price.

They'll have BCBS '17, an earlier vintage and Regal Rye on tap along with bottles of '17 BCBS, coffee, and Barleywine. Older bottles of 2012 Coffee and regular as well as '15 Rare.

Whole Foods has the best prices. I bought my regular last year at WH in NYC cause it was cheaper than I could get near me in NJ. I don't really see what the issue is.

No issue, I agree with you. They have the best beer pricing in the city.

Midtown East still has not put them out, though last year the stacked cases didn't hit the floor until the end of the week after Thanksgiving. They then lasted through Xmas.
