Good to know. I haven't seen this anywhere in my usual haunts in Cambridge.

Both Total Wines in Everett and Danvers had it as of the weekend. Grabbed a couple of 12's so far. pretty good all around. The double was nice and malty, the single was a nice fruity hazy and the session was excellent. Really good dank hop flavor and a nice low alcohol to accompany my turkey cooking

Anyone coming across the BA Ten Fidy? I was able to randomly find some of last year's super late (January of this year), and know they released this year's recently, but haven't heard much about it. Thanks!

Snagged some Triple Barrel BBB at Julio's the other day, looked like they still had some bottles kicking.

Coconut is very present, coffee comes out the more it warms up. The rum barrel also comes into play as it warms, whiskey is obviously more prominent, but they play well together. Would definitely consider aging one to see how much more pronounced the barrels become, a little less coconut wouldn't be the worst thing.

Found it to be far too much coconut. Far too sweet and sickly for me. I'm not a great coconut beer fan. I don't tend to cellar beers, I rather just drink them, but the other bottle of this that I have is definitely gonna sit in the basement next to that copy of Infinite Jest that I keep meaning to get back to.

Anyone try the new fort hill, jack and the hopstalk?

Had one last night, it's a malt bomb at 5% but it's got a great mouthfeel. Finish's to literally nothing. A true headscratcher.

Maybe about 7-8 cans of BA Ten Fidy left at Chestnut Hill Wegmans. $11.99 per.

And multiple cases of BCBS. Didn’t look like there was a limit. $9.99 per.

Huh. I thought it was pretty good, if unremarkable, but never would have thought to categorize it as a malt bomb.

In other news I was curious about the deal with Melvin being everywhere all of a sudden and turned this article up. I had been guessing it might have been a Night Shift thing but apparently not. Picked up their pale today (which I haven't tried yet), and had their flagship a couple weeks back. That one was pretty malty in an old school way, but I liked it a lot.

Grabbed one of the Melvin dipas and found it to be unremarkable. Certainly with 12oz cans at that price point I'd be hesitant to return

Picked up Honest Weight Overly Dedicated at CBC Fenway, it’s been on the shelf for a while. Expensive, but an excellent beer. Red Stones got Funny Money ba stout and All Love Grissete Wine ba with peaches from Honest Weight as well.

I liked the Mevin IPA a lot for a change of pace. At $9.99 for a 6 pack and 7.5% it will be a regular for me. I thought 2x4 was very good considering it's is 9.9%. A little pricey though.

It's definitely a grain/wheat forward pale ale. Nice citrusy hops. Clean finish. It was good but not a repeat buy for me.

Yeah, the jump from $9.99 six packs to the $13.99 four packs (all 12 oz) feels kind of stark when they're right next to each other. I'll buy out of state hoppy stuff in the 10 dollar range but anything above that and I'm generally sticking local/regional.

I thought their pale ale was more or less a lower ABV version of their flagship. I'll be curious to see how well their malt forward stuff does here in NE IPA territory.

Agreed. I had been hearing about them for years seeing them win or place well in big IPA contests. I was surprised at first with the malt profile but I enjoyed the break from our typical local offerings.
