I can see what the dudes in here are talking about with hops in crack the Skye. I don't get it every time, but the last bottle i did.

Right between the initial coffee burst and Russian base, there is a subtle quick transition that has some elements of blot out the Sun. Luckily it doesn't last and its hard to describe but it's there

Interesting. I can see there being variances, especially given it's 3 floyds. I have to say the draft that I had a few weeks back at the pub was a lot better than from bottle.

Anyone know if they’re giving refunds on Rue at the brewpub? Cracked another bottle with friends over the weekend, and it was a mess. The Vanilla is completely gone, replaced by an extremely tart cherry flavor, bordering on undrikable for more than a few ounces.

I returned 2 unopened and 1 empty bottle a couple weeks ago. No questions asked - $90 gift card.

    I've heard three different stories.

One is: people bring all of their Rue bottles, empty or full, and the person at the kiosk had no problem issuing them a refund.

The second one: the person at the kiosk will only issue refunds for bottles if they are full, and said they will not give refunds for empty bottles

Lastly: the kiosk worker laughed in the customer's face and told them that under no circumstance will FFF issue refunds for Rue bottles, and that they are not infected.

It's all luck of the draw I guess...

Am I the only one who feels like there’s been a lacking of anything with green wax this year? (Besides Dark Lord and it’s variants)

BA Behemoth was released a while ago. But yeah I definitely agree with you on that.

I'm just passively following this thread, but I am wrong in noting that it seems nearly half of all their BA releases over the last 2 years have been infected? Maybe it's not half, but that is beside the point. It's well outside the marign of error so shouldn't they think "man, we're obviously doing something wrong so maybe we shouldn't be selling these beers until we fix the problem?"

it seems to me crack the skye this year, a couple years worth of rue. so that's 3 infected runs, which i would think after 1 corrective action would be taken.

Rue doesn't even sound infected...sounds like it's just becoming overwhelmed by one ingredient...but that's none of my business, I had it fresh.

Never heard of Crack the Skye turning, or anything else really.

I’m not even sure if rue is infected. Just the cherry has taken over to ridiculous degree and in a tart but still unpleasant way.

I’ve heard nothing on Crack the Skye. Had one a couple weeks ago. Still delicious.

I've never heard of Crack the Skye being infected either.

Also wasn't the first time Rue was infected the Bruery release? And the FFF release was fine?

I know there has been infected BA Moloko & Conquistador De Muerte from 2014.

I still have a full bottle of 2014 conquistador. Think they would give me a gift card?

They should give you a refund if you want one. I took an empty BA Moloko back 2 months ago that I had opened a while back and I got a refund for it.
