I did the same thing for myself and my fiancé. I e-mailed Luke and he said he put a note in the ticketing system and it would be no problem as long as we picked up the bottles together.

So the thinking is that it won't be a clusterfuck at Founders on Saturday? That's good, my wife and I are making the 7 hour round trip to get her bottles(she must have that beer) and I was anticipating the worst case scenario. Hopefully we can blow in and get the bottles, have a glass and lunch, and head back to Ohio, without standing around for 2-3 hours. We haven't been to Founders in at least 5 years, and I understand they've made some changes?
Additionally, find us at the brewery and I'll have some Jackie O's and probably some Hoof Hearted goodies for you. All you have to do is name the first 6 Black Sabbath albums in order, and you win.

I'd be surprised if it takes you more than 5 minutes to get your bottles.

Exactly, the bottle pickup area is separate from the brew pub and because the bottles are prepaid, all they will do is match up ID's and send you on your way. Just like getting into a concert without all the frisking.

The brewpub may end up crowded and there is a chance they will limit the number of people in there if the crowds grow too large. If that happens, there are plenty of places in Grand Rapids to grab a good beer and a terrific lunch.

Can I request a frisking though?

In today's climate I'd be very careful what you say, particularly to a female.

That sucks. Tell them you would have paid cash, but your name isn't Benjamin Franklin....

In all the previous releases Founders has compared the name on the ticket with your photo ID. They can’t enforce the credit card name matching or else husbands and wives would have difficulty using the same card for purchasing. I have previously bought tickets for myself and friends using the same credit card and never had any issues as long as each persons name was on the ticket and that person picked up the beer and showed their ID.

Here’s a pro tip... the chronic fries at Stella’s Lounge (owned by BarFly Ventures, same as HopCat) are better than crack fries. Don’t @ me, bro.

Thanks I'll have to check them out next time I'm up that way. Crack fries are good, but I can get them at the Hop Cat in Chicago.

So what's the word on the CBS release? Is it just being released from Founders tomorrow and then being distributed in the coming weeks nationally? I thought that's what I read on previous Founders posts online but want to be sure so I don't miss it. I just called a local store who said their distributor messed up their shipment and won't be getting it "like everyone else" tomorrow but at a later date TBD. Not sure if this person knew what they were talking about or not. I'll do my weekly Friday store run anyway to check, but want to get some feedback from the community on the topic. Thoughts?

Seems as though it will be available in most places tomorrow. Some people apparently already have it.

Some Chicagoland Jewel stores will have it. I'd post the link but I'm on mobile and too last to do so at the moment. Just search CBS on Jewel's website for a list of stores.

The Jewel store I talked to only received 2 cases. Is Binny's releasing it as well? Lakeshore Beverage website said they would (along with Whole Foods and Marianos) but didn't say if it was a Friday release as well. Anyone know?

I feel like these questions have been discussed over and over. Perhaps it's just in my head (there are lots of voices up there) and/or perhaps it's in the thread in the Releases forum or in the Chicago Stout thread.

Whole Foods will have it..call your individual store to find out exactly when, as I know mine near me have different dates for release. Same thing with Binny's, I think...they should have it, but call your store to verify when. I haven't heard about Mariano's, though.
