Does the WF LP line actually start the night before? Was thinking about doing it tomorrow, since I'm off work. I would be going way early, but wondering if I'd have to get there at like 10pm tonight to have a shot at anything. If that's the case, i'm staying in bed.

 

All I have to say for people going to any Chicagoland WF is good luck. If you're not under 36 kiss those sweet variants goodbye.

 

Cracked a 2017 BCBS last night and thought it was quite delicious as well. Bcbw the night before. I am very happy w those two variants. Had Northwoods at Fobab, not my cup o tea but neither was Koz. Preferred NW. They r great beers and I'm happy w what I got. Can't wait to try my first CBS tomorrow. Prob best 8 days of beer in my life. Cheers!

In Fischman's heyday I got a growler of Blue Gene from them that turned a Friday afternoon at work into a flat out party.

Blueberry stouts CAN be done well...but I don't think Founders or Goose Island (or Saugatuck, but that's no surprise) got it right.

 

Pappy oh my. I used to love the 13 yr old Rye. The last btl I got a few yrs back was $250 and not even close to what it used to be. I wish someone now made something that was as good as that used to be when it was $80ish

 

I have 2-3 friends who will be in line at the LP Whole Foods in about 2 hours. So. Do with that info what you will.

 

I really hope they spend the night alone

Hopefully they remembered to pack their birth certificates when they ask for Prop so that they can prove that they were born in and bleed Chicago.
