Founders CBS 2017 Release

Seems to be a common trend from reviews I find on various review sites/apps... Little to no maple, which is unfortunate. After enjoying a "Wide Awake It's Morning" by Funky Buddha, which is quite intense maple... I was hoping CBS would be something like that! (never had CBS before).

Still planning on snagging a few bottles today if possible around town. Is it supposed to hit today around Cleveland, does anybody know?

For Chicago peeps the city Jewels will be a crapshoot. Went to two at opening - neither of which knew what was going on. Liquor managers not in til 8 or 9am-ish. Decided just to get some stuff for breakfast and go home! Hopefully my father in law in GR can bring it home for me - supply there seems extensive by all accounts

 

Jewel on Ashland in Andersonville has 5 cases, 2 bottles per person. Only 7 people here, so it won't be gone immediately.

 

Can confirm Jewel has no idea what's going on. There was a line of about 30 people at division and Ashland. 7 o'clock rolls around and they let everyone into the liquor store area. Then we waited around for 5 minutes and a voice came over the intercom saying "won't sell until 10 am". What a waste of time.

 

Bucktown Walgreens y’all. Hasn’t hit the floor so you have to ask for it.

 

Jewel at 4042 Foster in Chicago has CBS in back, but the staff is largely clueless about it (typical Jewel move). Ask for Sharon, she can hook you up.

This was my experience as well. Try to find someone who is willing to go check in the beer cooler and I bet it’ll be there. Then watch the cashier’s amazed, shock when she sees that you just spent $50+ on two bottles of beer.

 

Midtown Elmhurst Jewel sold out already according to people at the York Rd Jewel. 3 cases there. About 20 people lined up inside York Rd with zero information on if they have the beer or when it will go on sale.

Edit CS says they don't have it yet.

 

No limit at Rishi's in GR. This will have zero trade value, at least in Michigan. Founder's taking care of their own. Chicago seems a bit tighter though, with less allocation and similar demand. It's almost like a BCBS reversal.

Jewel in Downers Grove said they haven't received any and the Clarendon Hills the guy was clueless but also said they never received any.

 

2 per person @ Schaumburg Jewel, so they ran out about 4 people in front of me. WTH? Everyone in the line there could have got 1 bottle, probably 2/3 could have gone thru again for a second. Crap.

 

Most stores I spoke to are expecting it with their normal Premium shipment next week.

Buddy just grabbed CBS at Lockport Jewel. Limit 1 per. Sounds like a small shipment. He said there were 10 people in line a few minutes before 7 when he rolled up.

This is pretty fucked up, because that Jewel is now selling. They must've gotten word that other Jewels were doing it at 7am.
