What beer are you drinking now? #1868

This is the first year we've got it here, bought it in NC last year

 

This beer never gets old. cheers

 

Cheapskate's barrel-aged night: Got a bottle of Boulevard Whiskey Barrel Stout, Dragon's Milk, and High Westified lined up next to each other. Started with the Boulevard, not particularly impressed.

 

How was the beer? Had a number of black IPAs and was not enamored.

it's classic death metal right off the bat, but a good example of the style. doesn't go into hyperspeed and has some good groove

 

I am more than willing to drink whatever you send, I will say I was very impressed with the Triple Crossing beers I had while I was there. The game last night was the only one I have been able to watch in the last 3 weeks!!! I still figured they would give it away after halftime.

 

Having this year's Cherry Stout! Just picked it up, brewed this october.



Hey, @StoutElk_92 , are you interested in one of these fresh ones? A bit more tart than the aged '15 I sent ya awhile back.

 

Classic tune-nothing wrong w that. We listened to 60's oldies while having homemade pizza earlier.

Moderate to vigorous pour yields a one inch tan head over a dark brown, almost black, body with some lacing. Nose of roasted malts, roasted coffee, espresso, and some chocolate. Taste mirrors nose nicely with a bit more of the chocolate coming forward. Nice feel and overall, a very good offering which gets better as it warms. Cheers!

Tag me in!!!! I did a little variation with the meal prep: ground beef, taco seasoning, corn, tomatoes, green onions, and black beans. Tonight I am drinking a beer I was gifted on Thanksgiving which is 4Hands Absence of Light a decent peanut butter chocolate milk stout. @vabeerguy @jvgoor3786

 

That version on TV was the perfect bridge for myself and my brothers and sisters to get some recognition from our parents for the musical ability of the youngsters.
