Funny observation from black friday at Binny's LP. You know how you had to grab a box right when you got into the room so they could load beers into it. There were only empty regular and barleywine boxes stacked there for people to grab. But shortly before I made into the building, these two tweaker looking fuckheads came out pushing a shopping cart with 3 (THREE) of the prettiest baby blue boxes in it. There were empty prop boxes for anyone to grab but they were further down the assembly line and if you wanted one you'd have to stop and shuffle your bottles out of one box and into another while holding people up.

You know where this is going. Those douchbags got the same 2 props each but wanted 3 (THREE!!) empty boxes to fake a photo and claim they scored the biggest prop haul in town. I haven't found that photo on the interwebs yet, but if you see it, now you'll know the true story. Cheers!

I hope the next pic he posts is his blueberry/almond soaked floor mats after he had to slam on his brakes while posting this pic as he was driving. Who the fuck needs 16 bottles of Northwoods? That's a rhetorical question...I know what he's going to do with them...dick.

16 x $23=$368. He also posted that they were $23 each. A bunch of top shelfies.

I couldn't believe it kicked so fast. I briefly considered ordering two for myself from the get go, however I decided not to after I heard the keg lasted 3.5 hours the night before. Turned out to be a bad decision. Went to Whirleyball bar from there and had Prop 15, which was not quite as good, but still fantastic.

Thinking back I’ve gone to WF BCBS releases the last 3 years and never lined up before 6:15 am. The only time I got Prop was 2015. Goose started Prop Day in 2016. I’m guessing that put a big hit in WF’s Prop allocation and it hasn’t rebounded since. Pure speculation on my part.

I finally got the chance to try everything but northwoods on tap last night and was disappointed. I liked coffee and regular but reserve, prop and barleywine were just ok. Thinkin ill probably load up on regular and swap my variants

Anybody know of a place in the far northern suburbs where i can get a case of regular, gurnee/round lake

$11 for the pour. It’s about a 10 oz pour.

Freakonomics radio on NPR is going to have a segment on the virtues of waiting in line, and how patience is more important for life success than high IQs.

For some reason, I thought this group might enjoy the segment.

Does blacking out in a camping tent in a parking lot with a space heater count as patience? :grinning:

That is the example use in Webster’s sesquicentennial edition, if I’m not mistaken.

Totally agree with that as well. I have 3 hobbies that I spend a lot of money on and a majority of my money goes to the business owners who take care of me. I never once expected it or asked for it but over the years it just happened. It's hard to find places that really care these days and I love frequenting places that do.

No more Prop at State - just coffee.

Guess I shouldn’t have stopped for a Northwoods @ Whirlyball first.

Sorry man. My buddy got the last pour. But the coffee there, for some reason was outstanding. The other coffees I’ve had, pours from Prop day and bottles from release day, I have gotten a green pepper bomb or no coffee at all. Complete different beer.

So I’m at Union Station currently and The Junction Bar has Prop on tap. Not exactly where I was expecting to find it, but it was a nice surprise. It’s not flyng off the shelf either... so get on down and have some. 9oz pour for $13 is the posted price, but she filled it up to the top of a 12 ounce cup.
