Bruery 2017 RS/HS Allocations

I assumed they added the grape must to fermented Black Tuesday based on the instagram: "After pressing the grapes, blending the must with our Black Tuesday imperial stout, and aging it in 100% New French Oak puncheons for nearly a year."

Wine generally doesn't exceed 15% because thats about the abv point where wine yeast dies off. Based on this, I would assume that wine yeast would not be used because it could not stand up to the 20% BT. However, if the must was combined with the unfermented BT, then all bets are off.

 

Opened up a REST (for science) to see if I got lucky and the bottle wasn’t affected by the off-flavors but there is some heavy funk goin on here. My first bottle I opened a couple months back seemed fine. Oh well, Thankful for Bruery’s proactive customer service though!

 

@BruerJoel Regarding the charity night tomorrow at the Bruery T tasting room, any word on whether there will be growler fills for the small-batch Mischief treatment?

Drank a 2014 smoking wood rye that I got in that three pack they were selling. It’s tasting really good! Smooth and smoky but not overpowering. This would be fantastic with some coconut and maybe a little cacao. I bet Smoking Nuts would be a big hit.

they had 2014 port BT I think I Saturday.

Heh, even after discount that is a pricey bottle.

 

I like the term "discount" on hoarders only bottles, they wanted $40 a bottle so they priced them at $50. Not complaining at all, just funny. No doubt these were a pricey bottle to make.

So Yount is the most expensive Bruery 750 released, right? Am I missing one?

 

will they be pouring yount at smm? would really love to hear some thoughts on it. if its anything like vindictive 1 i dunno if ill like it.
