They're nailing wild/mixed ferm. styles and IPA's and that likely takes all their tank space. I mean, if you were selling out every drop you can produce at max output are you seriously gonna sub out brewhouse time and a tank for an ESB? That said, I got a taste of their stout and it is really quite good. How good these guys will be in five years is hard to judge, but if all goes as well as it has the sky's the limit IMO

They are the best brewery on the planet and they should do releases at 10am every Saturday (if they don’t already - I don’t know, I haven’t been)

They are on Sat. mornings. Probably too late in the OH game for it to help you though

Seriously what I’ve tried in NYC (some cans, mostly draught) has been great. We planned on stopping off on the way back from our last trip to Catskills, but my kid wasn’t playing ball. Definitely will make it up soon

You guys need to chill with the hype. Brooklyn is still the place to be on Saturdays haze bois. No need to come up to the boonies of upstate New York. Nothing to see here. Move along.

I did note the lack of style variation, clearly goes to TH. Comparing hops to hops and wild to wild, IMO Eq is currently better in terms of quality.

@dhaakon , I know a lot of people disagree but I do think there has been a slight dip. I've had all the regulars in the last 3-4 weeks, and the difference is subtle I feel like they are just slightly lacking that pop I was used to with their beer. Just a tad muted version of themselves, don't get me wrong, still awesome beer. At the same time, I do very much appreciate the fact TH scaled to the volume they are at now and still have such high quality. It is impressive. If you take quality and quantity into account, clearly I don't think anyone can touch TH (aside from Alchemist, but that is a different argument).

...but since the labels suck, I won't be driving up to Equilibrium from the city ever again.

@Xerlic I don't think there is too much to worry about. It is not easy popping up there. On a good day from the city you are sinking 5-6 hours into a release. Drive up is easy, the drive back sucks and takes 30-60 mins longer.

All that label hate was some of the dumbest shit I've seen on BA...and there has been some really dumb shit!

No release this weekend, but it sounds like there could be a 2-can release next week.

Hey man, all I know is there have been OH releases where people are standing in line while it's still dark out in below freezing temps, so 5-6 hours should be nothing. The morning release of the collab with the Answer was already kinda pushing that envelope haha.

For the first time, since we installed our 5 new 20bbl fermentors last month, all 11 fermentors are full! Lots of beer coming your way!

Hill Farmstead? The quality w/ quantity spectrum was/is a noteworthy accomplishment

Difference is more than subtle: watered down grass - the TH defense mechanism is weakening yet exceptions remain

Complete failure on my part there, I did not mention Hill because they are in a league of their own. I honestly don't even bother trying to compare anyone to them because its laughable. Hops, masters. Wild/Farmhouse, masters. Stouts, masters. BA whatever, masters.

    Beautiful!

I'm just a little confused about what this means. It sounds like they're announcing a few things here:
    1. Crowlers are ready and will be available this weekend. Yay!
    2. New hours during which you'll be able to taste beer and grab crowlers. Yay!
    3. Chiller Saturday releases that'll make it easier for y'all to hit up multiple beer releases in the same day. Yay!
I'm confused about (3). What do they mean by "extending [our] hours"? I am planning on making the trip up from NYC this Saturday and was hoping to make the releases at both HVB and EQ. I was a little concerned about timing and how it would work out, but it seems like they're trying to address that concern here... But I'm just not sure how exactly.

Anyone know what the hours of the taproom are?? I think the hours I'm seeing is for the growler room. I know I was there past 8 on a Thursday about 2 months ago, but can't seem to find the hours.

Pete said on the fb group that the expanded hours are 11:30-6 on saturdays.

The brewery doesn't have a taproom currently. You probably were at the restaurant.

The restaurant rebranded to "Tapped" which is probably why you can't find their hours. The hours are on their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Middletown10940/

I think they expect the 3100 gallons of additional capacity and ability to get crowlers filled until 6:00 PM on Saturdays to make enough beer available for takeout that it lasts (at least) all day.
