All of the chains around here that serve beer have similar tap lists. They advertise Craft beer but all they have are Belgian Moon, Shock Top, and occasionally Samuel Adams.

In terms of the beer generating business, I can say for certain that the locally owned restaurants that serve craft beer (especially local brew) sell a ton more beer than those that don't.

I don't know about your locale, but most people here will go out of their way to eat and drink local.

I guess it depends if you assume the "gourmet" adjective modifies both nouns in their slogan:

I've usually got a pretty good radar for internet sarcasm/snark, but your wordsmith-ery confounded me this time.

Boring beer lists at Red Robin... shocking, I tell you! What's next? Are you going to try to tell me Applebee has boring beer? Ruby Tuesdays? TGI Fridays? Thirsty Thursdays? ...Wait, what?

In NJ except for kids, there is never a good reason to go to a chain.

By being in a hurry I meant that if I was driving through any area on a bee-line, and the nearby attendant interstate eateries might include a Red Robin, I just might stop there rather than exploring better locations off the highway. There is one very close by here and I'm certain that I'll never go.

I would like to see Biff all worked up, with his family right there, bitching to the manager, and boxing up his booty and stalking out!

RR is on my bucket list. It's dead last, but it's on there.

This. Any place that says they have to cook a burger to no less than medium, fuck 'em.

In the best burger and beer bar thread I mentioned a Beef O'Brady's near me that has a tap line of 24 handles, 2/3 of which are rotating crafts and micros. The burgers are great, the sides are great, and the wings ain't too shabby, either.

The best burgers in Sioux Falls are sold at two JL Beers independent taproom locations. JL is a regional chain. Each taproom has 40 taps of mostly craft, but also usually a root beer, a cider, and an AAL. They also cut their own fries and chips, and they kick the crap out of Dead Robin and Apple Beast.

Could any of us imagine the calamity that would ensue if Golden Corrals got a liquor license?

I have a picture of Paul Giamatti in the burger joint at the end of Sideways, covertly pouring his coveted rare wine from a brown bag-hidden bottle into a plastic cup.

I have spent quite a bit of time in Fargo and have been to multiple JL Beers locations. Very impressive beer selection and the burgers are fantastic.

As a kid I was convinced that the huge block of cheese that you carved off of was the same one every time. As an adult, that doesn't seem all that far fetched...

i wouldn't assume it modifies both. what i would assume is they used two different colors on the 4 words you analyzed ensuring they created visible separation to make sure lawyers such as yourself (tongue firmly planted in cheek) wouldn't be able to ding them on vocabulary.

In Paris you can get a glass of beer with your Royale with cheese at McDonald's. Sorry. It was on the other night.

I’ve been burned too many times with ordering craft beer at chain restaurants. Usually if they do have a decent beer it tastes like crap due to an old keg and/or dirty lines that aren’t properly cleaned.

It's also quite possible they'll bring the wrong beer, since hey - beer is beer, right?
