Best local brewfest: Hibrewnation!

 

Heard the Atlantic City Beer Fest is a ton of fun, I'm definitely planning on attending this year.

I like the local fests more as I grew older. Yeah, less variety but the very small lines compensate.

 

Sounds like plenty of room. Got tix; we're going. How are you guys with pretzel necklaces? Rules say no outside food allowed.

 

I stopped going to beer festivals for many years for all the usual shit-show reasons but recently i started again. The two that i recommend are:

NY TAP - went for the first time this year, well run, lots of beer, no lines, free food, well it was in the ticket cost, that flowed the whole event.

Winter Beer Dabbler - Minneapolis State Fair Grounds - nothing says Minnesota better then drinking beer outside in February. Been lucky the last 2 years, cold but not super cold, tons of breweries, spread throughout the fair grounds.

 

The Fresh Hop Ale Festival in Yakima is short, but it's something special. Large pours, only one or two lines, and hotels within walking distance. The morning air in Yakima even smelled like hops.

 

The Historic Lager Festival at Urban Chestnut in St. Louis next March will be epic.
