Not sure (I haven't bought any yet), but that sounds about right. Probably $19.71 each.

    I saw $19.71 advertised.
Is this confiirmed to be 2017?
I've noticed they use their inception year for pricing for cellar releases

$19.71 is what I paid today for 2017.

It's definitely a 2017 bottle. That doesn't mean it isn't the same beer from 2016 but bottled a year later, though. They're known for letting stuff sit in barrels and releasing it in stages. I haven't had a chance to ask about this particular bottle yet.

I know it's not CO, but Supermarket in FoCo just put out some High West-ified from last year for $2.99 a single it is tasting AMAZING. The coffee has settled down and the barrel is popping. Should've bought more, but I also picked up a Jackie O's Cuvee 11. So....

Anyone know if epic still has baptista and bbbbbb at the brewery? Apparently it hit the south metro over thanksgiving. Sneaky bastards.

I opened a 16 Baptista out of my climate controlled cellar(not a closet in my basement) and it is fantastic. Spices muted but not disappeared and barrel dissolved, big and chewy fantastic beer. Beers like this is why I have pay for space at the wine storage place. How beers are cellared matters.

Mile High in Lakewood had them on Monday when I was there. $16 and $18 I think?

Just saw your post but I was at Epic on Sunday drinking both of those on tap and the cooler was filled with bottles of both as well.

Had the triple barrel last night and enjoyed it quite a bit. The coconut was faint albeit certainly there... so chocolatey. Overall I’d say I like double barrel from last year better...

BBB is just an incredible offering though. I’d imagine it’d be hyped like crazy if it was made by weldwerks and/or people couldn’t get it, but that’s the nature of beers now. Still one of the best nationwide IMO.

I remember people hyping the shit out of BBB five years ago and I didn't get the hype, now the beer is bordering on god status and everyone says meh. Moar for me!

Recently enjoyed some Baptista, but I haven't had BBB in a while because the variability between batches kinda annoyed me. I have really liked some bottles, but others have tasted a bit like three-day-old Village Inn coffee grounds, ie, acrid and bitter. The batches were intentionally different in the past. Have they now standardized the recipe and/or process?

IMO, the Baptist beers have been much, much better since Epic started brewing them in Denver. Whatever coffee they were using in Utah was harsh and acidic. I think the worst Denver batches are still way better than anything I had before they moved here.
Normal 'ol BBB is probably one of my top 5 big beers in CO now.

I don't have anything to add other than BBB and the variants have been amazing. I think they are not appreciated like BCBS, Fremont, etc. but are just as good if not better.

I like the differences in the regular BBB, I'm with domingo though that the Denver BBB is much better. It's interesting to try and pick up differences between batches/coffees...

tthe differences in coffee were intentional, but like @Domingo pointed out, the move to Denver really seems to be when things got good. I wouldn't put them on point with freemont, but I would take bbb over bcbcs any day.

Most of the people that don't love BBB feel that it doesn't have a ton of barrel character. I totally agree with that, too. I think that's probably one reason I enjoy it so much. I like my spirits barrel notes to be mild in most instances. There aren't a ton of places that have that philosophy, though. I don't even want balance - I want a tiny bit of vanilla/wood/coconut nuance and not much more.

You try the new Boulevard whiskey stout?

I haven't. Someone else mentioned that to me the other day. I generally don't buy many BA stouts (other than the Brain), but I'm certainly game to try more that aren't whiskey-heavy.

I really enjoyed. A tad sweet. But totally scratches that itch for 15 bucks a four back. Its BA blended back with non BA so the barrel is dialed back, but not in a weird way.

Hard to describe but the actual good Barrel Aging flavors just pushed back some.
