Fractal Citra Mosaic was one of the tastiest Fractals, but Pete says this is done with new hop procedures so it may not be the same as last time (if I am not reading too much into what he said).

Vulgar Display of Flower was the first beer I had from them and it blew my mind. Didn't find anything west coast ish about it other than maybe some more bitterness than some of the NEIPA's coming out today.

Haven't had Fractal Citra Mosaic but the other Fractals I've had have been awesome.

TBH I haven't had a beer from them yet that hasn't been at least very good, and most are great to world class imo.

nice! I thought the Ekunot one wasn't the best i've had from them but yes it was still very good.

agreed they are all very good.. i hope with the added capacity and scaling things up that doesn't change, they have been my go to for hops when they do a release. the crowler thing is cool too

hmmmmm looks very interesting... good things to come i suppose... but is that more just for draft?

Vulgar is their east meets west beer. It has more of a pine finish than MC2 or Photon, but it still has a lot of citrus notes. It gets knocked by people who want all their IPAs to taste like orange juice, but it's a very good beer imo.

+ Last canning run of VDOF was ridiculous: smooth, clean, pillowy-y, extremely well balanced. The orange character brought out was a force to be reckoned with; super well calculated amongst the other workings of pears, mango, citric, and tropical fruit with more dank elements as it opened. Presumably more east than west; however, the pine, caramel, slight bitterness, and backend dryness played out well – Beautifully Engineered

Of course, they modified the recipe on the last run, and tend to rework recipes on occasion. Nonetheless, can’t imagine anything going wrong here, as if more adjustments were done then probably for the better.

yeah these guys seem to be mad scientists with their beer... love it... love the chew the mouthfeel has on all their beers.. unlike any other spots at the moment imo... these guys really are pushing the edge and imo the top of the hop... better than tree/monkish/tiredcans/bissel etc

i'd basically put them up their with HF in terms of each batch being one i'd want to bathe in

If you can/en-route, then check out D-96 on your way back down from EQ and HVB

The guys behind Equilibrium are actual scientists from MIT hence their very analytical approach. :stuck_out_tongue:

I'm about equidistant to EQ, HV, Suarez, and Rushing Duck. Life is good.

i did read that, crazy dudes from MIT went the way of beer but good for us!

life is good! Beer all over is getting so much better... sans south jersey where it still sucks donkey ****.. though the donkey **** has begun to taste a bit better of late.. tonewood is doing decent things and spellbound is nice too... only a matter of time before more spots pump out more quality brews.... still seems we are in the state of places opening and doing business just because its the hype thing to do and every town needs a brewery

Depending on the weather, I'm planning on making that stop tomorrow. I've had MOAB and FOAB from them and was impressed. Any others you would recommend? I'm probably going to get a bunch of crowlers to bring to a party tomorrow night but won't have much time for pours while there.

@tinoynk got a solid recommendation, and would seek out Sexual Relations + Frustrations if available, but really can’t go wrong + that Counter Weight collab. sounds killer, as in a super refined, balanced, dry, crisp pale ale…Suarez traits?
