Founders CBS tappings.....

There’s still some bottles left at Olde Hickory Station...for $40. Their prices are typically fair so I was somewhat shocked to see the upcharge. Anyway, it depends how badly you want it I guess.

 

The Lodge on Hilton Head Island has bottles as of today. $50 per bottle, I passed

 

I found bottles in Asheville at Target $24.99. I bought two.

 

It went quick at Next Door but I was able to get one at Mix-it-up on Tuesday . They did have a few in the cold case at Lynnhaven Pub on the other side of the building . You probably would have to drink it there . The Pub is a fun place to go if you are ever in Va. Beach . It's a neighborhood pub/craft beer/dive bar . They had KBS and '14 120 on tap still . Went for a half pint of the 120 .

 

Charleston area: House Of Brews in Mt. Pleasant had it on tap today ($8 for 8oz). They still had some bottles left at $29.99 each.

 

So I had a guy who has hooked me up with some tasty beer before snag me a bottle while I’m outta town on “vacation.” He texted me the other night that he gave it to my coworker instead.

Thankfully a buddy of mine heard of my plight and found me a bottle that he’s holdin’ with my name on it!

 

Your Food Lion got it? That's impressive. No go on my local Beer Den either.

 

So I cracked open a bottle with a buddy yesterday next to a KBS and A coffee BCBS and the CBS blew both out of the water. The BCBS was thicker and some might prefer that super boozy coffee more, but the CBS was not what I thought it was on draft. Draft I felt it was basically KBS, but the bottle we just had last night was so good. Creamy mouth feel, just enough sweetness. It was phenomenal and I take back my assessment of this beer from what I tasted on draft last week.

 

Found one bottle today in Greenville NC for $29.99. All gone now.

 

Hey GSO folks: the Lawndale Harris Teeter had CBS sitting on the shelf tonight (as of 6ish) for $22.99.

 

Laserwolf Fort Lauderdale will have it on tap Thursday 12/14...local Total Wines have some bottle still around...

 

Round 2 bottle drops? Seeing a few places reload.

 

Locations? Kind of figured this was going to happen. Know of one place holding out on a keg and provably bottles to till February during their slow month.

 

I've seen a few spots in Asheville, Cary, Chapel Hill, and Raleigh.

Went to the Barrel on James Island (outside Charleston, SC) late last week, it was still on tap. While I've enjoyed a few pints of it, it seems thinner than the last time I had it a few years ago... as does the KDS and Backwoods Bastard.

 

Oh yeah, saw bottles of it sitting at Whole Foods for $23.99, still lots of bottles at Total Wine for $30.99.
