Founders beer releases

Hmmmm...

 

It's Breakfast Stout to be available year-round, and Imperial Stout that will not be on the 2018 schedule.

 

Checked my Cadre email on break real quick. They must've had a typo or something because it now says:

• We’re saying goodbye to some favorites, like Imperial Stout, Curmudgeon and reDANKulous although we’d like to think of it as ‘until we meet again.’ Because, let’s be real, we bring back old favs all the time!

Also, pretty clear that Breakfast Stout is year round in multiple spots in the announcement. Hopefully FIS makes an appearance this year...from a barrel!

 

Not sure if this has been posted yet but, Reds Rye IPA is being bottled and sold as a sixer (tap room only) as part of the "mothership series".

 

What is the mothership series anyway? Not familiar at all with it.

 

It's new. Packaged beer only available at the taprooms.

 

New series of taproom only released bottles, presumably former "tap only" favorites.

 

Parliament approved.

 

I see. I was assuming this was "the return of". I did not realize it was completely new. Interesting.

 

Just speculation on my part but I really think BA Sumatra Mountain Brown is happening.

 

I desperately want this to be true.

 

They've made enough that it's been on at the taproom constantly for months. Putting it in bottles at least seems possible. It would be a wonderful thing.

 

If that becomes bottled, I will be interested to see how plentiful it is given that some of the BA series this year was extremely sparse (at least in my area), and how well received it has been.

 

For whatever it is worth, I was on a tour at Founders last Friday and specifically asked if BA Sumatra would ever be bottled as it was one of the samples during the tasting portion of the tour. It was a very definitive 'no'. I'm hoping they were lying. It is what I get whenever I visit the taproom. Sooo good.

 

I was told on that same tour a long while back that CBS wouldn't be bottled again.

"So you're telling me there's a chance"

This is terrible news--FIS is superb, especially with a year on it. Guess I'll be loading up when this hits in a month or so.

 

FIS is not hitting in a month or so. It's not being released in 2018.
