Love the name of the beer. Got to think that it's directed at the town with all their BS.

    ENOUGH ALREADY

Has the finback collab Beachfront ave yesterday. It's like combining Sand City's amazing anniversary imperial IPA with finback smooth beats Miami (but w pineapple instead of coconut). Great stuff. Too bad they were out of cans of it, but I picked up a 4 of oops I Nelsoned and Even mofo.

@jrnyc - you try the last Oops Nelson cans? They feel off from prior batches.

I agree. I got a 4-pack and was pretty disappointed.

I did not, debated going, but have too much beer as it is and didn't have time. Sounds like I lucked out. Previous batches were excellent, bummer that it sounds like this batch went sideways.

I dunno...I really loved it. Not the nest narch of oops nelson, but still phenomenal imo. After coming off the finback and magnify collabs though...

Guys - rozzom here from NYC. Saw this post in the OH thread and going to make a trip out as a result, along with several of my bros.

Question - what are the roads like out there? We’re going to be a convoy of ferraris/lambos (to make a fun day out of it) - they’re all very low slung and I’m not sure what the roads are like (are there roads?) this far out on LI. We may just charter a helicopter instead.

Any insight much appreciated. And looking forward to hanging with you people.

Lol. We/I have been trying to keep things quiet on message boards to avoid mayhem. Kinda like not talking about a release until after it happened. Didn't really work. C+ for effort

Totally agree. It seems more bitter and grassy with less of that creamy, grape-y sweetness that made the other batches so magical. Still very good, but I was absolutely blown away by the previous cannings (I think it's only been twice?)... Like best-Nelson-beer-I've-ever-had kinda blown away.

Tasting room closed again until further notice. At the risk of knowing there are always two sides to every story and not knowing any details, what a bunch of BS Sand City is being put through! Who knew something as simple as a walkway could shut a business down. Wondering if this is another example of government doing what it does worst. Great brewery, really sucks for them, losing tap room revenue and repairs could be a big hit on the business. Although they will still have their can release Sunday.

Seriously tho. What is going on in that town? Do they just not like people lining up on their streets? Do they hate successful businesses?

They are afraid of change. They dont like outsiders and dont want their high standard of living being impacted. It’s like fucking 1950 in Northport.

I hate to add to or debunk speculation...but word is that it has 0 to do with Sand City and everything to do with the owner of said property and that individual's relationship with the town. As the rumor mill goes...

Hoping they are able to swiftly relocate and quality doesn't suffer as a result. They're really in the groove on making great beer in that place and they've brought in some talent that can really help to elevate things to the next level...not to mention all the collabs and shared learning going on in the beer community at the moment.

plus...they've gotten the DDB treatment which was mostly positive.

Only thing to do now is make a triple dry hopped Galaxy DIPA. "Infinite Politics". That'll show em!

I don't even get it. Isn't the "walkway" just some wooden planks? How expensive would it be to replace this stupid thing in line with town "regulations".
