Well, I hope this is good news. I hope the quality is still there, considering all of the changes. I am glad to have a shot at BCBS from a local shop.

I have had a few bottles of '12 and trust me its amazing fresh right now! I said when I heard InBev was buying GI out "I don't care as long as bcbs is still as good". And it is, so far.

I'm a little surprised and bummed to hear this. While Bevmo is a pain, they typically get big allocations of limited releases at fair prices. I can always get what I want by making a few phone calls.

I figured since they used to sell BCBS and currently carry a ton of InBev products, they would definitely be getting this years BCBS. Did you get your info from a reliable source at Bevmo?

I love BevMo. Reasonable prices and no BS. They don't hold limited releases hostage like most bottleshops.

YO LEROY!! what limited releases does BevMo regularly stock that are "hostage" caliber?? :sunglasses:

why? if people are paying $30 for bombers of eclipse, why wouldn't someone be willing to pay $15 for a 12oz bottle of bcbs for this year's until it becomes a year-round at $22 / 4 pack?

Well you can't regularly stock limited releases, but they get everything Deschutes makes, and will sell The Abyss for $14 or so when "Asshole bottleshop #234" in San Diego will ask $24. I saw The Dissident for $28 already at one of SD's dick shops.

BBIV was apparently hostage worthy, as I'd see that for $24 at our bottleshops yet $12.99 at BevMo.

Which bottle shops in San Diego qualify as the dick shops?

Any that sell PtE for more than $4.99, Racer X for more than $7.99, etc. It's pretty obvious and they know who they are.

Oh, come on - that is weak. You are anonymous here; name names!

I've seen Beverages 4 Less singled out many times in the past, so I'd guess they would be on your list. I've also seen some criticism of Mesa Liquor and Wine. Any others?

I don't see what the comparison you're making is, other than that they're both desirable imperial stouts.

I am going to take a day off work and CHASE TRUCKS and HOARD. =)

Limiting myself to $1k. This beer and SD IPA's is all I need. 3 years or so worth of BCBS sounds good to me! Leaves me tons and tons to share too.

people are willing to pay $1.36 / oz for a desirable imperial stout. bcbs at $0.46 is a great deal, but it is demonstrably underpriced for the supply. therefore, in a time when supply is low and demand is high, what is wrong with someone paying $1.36 / oz for bcbs, which would come out to $16+ for a 12-oz bottle?

in simple terms, i'm saying that anyone who buys $30 bottles of imperial stout and feels that bcbs ≥ said imperial stout, but will laugh at people paying $6+ for bcbs, is an idiot.

Am I supposedly this idiot, or are your posts also directed at someone else's comments that I am unaware of? Because I've never claimed BCBS > Eclipse, and the only bottle of Eclipse I've ever purchased was for a trade.

There's also a whole lot more BCBS than Eclipse (obviously there's more demand too, but the point remains), and will be far more of it in the near future. I haven't read about any plans to make Eclipse a year-round offering.
