Civil Society - Fall - 2017

It was...a bit disappointing...when half the breweries run out of beer by 2pm, something got to be addressed. By 4pm the only brewery left with beer was Civi. Not sure where the fault lies here.

 

I got every beer I wanted. I think this festival was amazing. You're right though. By 4 everyone was tapped out.

 

If I had one complaint it was that. I got everything I wanted and there was a great selection but everything was done by 2pm. Luckily Civil had everything on right through but then of course their line was huge.

 

Overall it was great, there wasn't anything I wanted to try that I didn't get. I think the pours were generally bigger due to the bigger tasting glass, which may have led to a lot of breweries running out of beer so fast. I saw a bunch of people pouring half pours down the sewer grates because pours were just way too big. I actually asked for small pours all day starting with the 2nd beer I tried.

Civil killed it with their beer and how they were set up inside. The line moved super fast all day and the beer was insane.

My favorite beer of the fest might have been Triple Crossings Waxing Poetic w/raspberries (berliner)...it was ridiculously good.

 

My top two were Southern Grist Coconut vanillionaire and DDH sun gazer but almost every beer I had was stellar.

I also started asking for half pours, especially on the breweries that I wanted to try both beers they were offering.

Great release...I'd expect a nice little line share as well :-)

 

Would a local be able to give me an idea of how this release will be? I have a family member going to the release and want to prepare them for what they may encounter. Will these sellout quick? How bad will the crowd/line be? Is it reasonable to think all three beers will be on draft? Thank you in advance for the information.

 

All will be on draft...if you get there by 11a shouldn't be a problem to get all the cans...they open at 12p...line moves quick...

 

Tell them to get there early for the line share, best part of the day.

Cans are coming fast and furious. Per FB:
Saturday we’ll have three cans available. First is Digital Haze v.4.20 (8.5%) DIPA a collab we did with our buddy Brandon from @theanswerva hopped excessively w/ Galaxy, Lemondrop, Enigma and Mosaic Lupulin. Second is Crazy Golf & Laser Tag (6%) IPA a collaboration with @magicrockbrewing hopped exclusively with Simcoe hops, both T-90 pellets and Lupulin Pellets. Finally we will have a very limited amount of Hieroglyphics (6.2%) an IPA we brewed for @boxeldermiami to kick of Art Basel. It is hopped with Bru-1, Mosaic and Hallertau Blanc.

 

So I guess the rumors were true. Silvers aside is opening a new brewery! I heard a few months ago they were going to open another spot in West Palm area, but I am personally hoping it’s a little further south.

 

I heard the new brewery is near or in Orlando. Does anyone know where the new space is for sure?

Every rumor I’ve heard so far is WPB. As long as quality doesn’t take a hit, it’s great news, wherever the facility lands

 

I think that's just wishful thinking of Orlando folks in their beer scene is abysmal. There is no reason for Civil to leave PBC, they just need more room to brew and expanding in Abacoa just isn't possible.

 

I did some public record sleuthing after they posted the teaser image that had a previous business name somewhat shown and it’s indeed in WPB (google maps / street view confirmed my suspected address with an open door and interior shot that looks like the one they posted).

I too was wishing it was going to be in Orando or Central Florida
