First time in Los Angeles and first time in California, ever. Where should I go? Planning on Smog City, Monkish, and Beachwood in Long Beach one day then Bruery Terreux and Bottle Logic the next. Anywhere else I MUST hit?

I'll also be in LA on Christmas day so if there's any recs for free stuff or outdoor things that necessarily don't have to be open that would be cool...any bars open on Christmas?

Anything non beer related is welcome too...food, places to see, fun stuff etc Trying to not just drink beer the whole trip...need more non beer recommendations

Know this is is probably a repeat post but wasn't sure if there was anything new or updated since the last posts.

    Thanks

That's a pretty solid plan of attack. Focus on one area per day.

South Bay: Beachwood BBQ (also has food), Monkish, Smog City, & Phantom Carriage (also has food). If you're into Japanese food at all, there's a ton of really solid Japanese places near Monkish and Smog City

Downtown: Mumford and Mikkeller. Also, plenty of food options in downtown. Check out Grand Central Market and all the hipsters waiting in line at Eggslut. Then proceed directly to Roast-to-Go and get a burrito the size of your arm

If you can make it to Highland Park, do it.

I’d add noble and green cheek to your Bruery trip.

Hike to the Hollywierd sign in the hills overlooking Hollywood and beyond. Yes, it’s a touristy thing to do. But it’s outdoorsy and it’s free. And what was said above.....yes add Green Cheek and Nobles to BL and Bruery. Check on some of the named places for opening times before you go. Which part of LA are you staying? LA is spread out all over.

Eboshi is my personal favorite. Shin Sen Gumi is really good too. There's also a really good ramen spot inside Mitsuwa, but it's cash only

Sorry to OP for thread jack. Staying in Pasadena the end of the week/weekend. Planning on Highland Park Brewing Thursday afternoon. However, we have that day free with no car. Is there anywhere in Pasadena/Highland park or wherever would be a relatively cheap Uber/Lyft ride that anyone would recommend for midday beers/food?

A lot was covered in this thread but HPB/Hermosillo itself has solid food

if you go to Monkish/Smog Kappo Irifune is a great sushi place near there. and like Koger said, great ramen spot in Mitsuwa marketplace (Santouka)

There's a bunch of spots along York blvd that you can check out in addition to HPB... I recently went to Block Party down the street and would recommend
