Finback Brewery (2018)

I’m guessing BQE will be released next weekend judging by their event page for the holiday market. It says they will have samples.

It was confirmed on their last IG post in the comments. I hope they do some pre-order like last BQE release (and all recent releases) that dont require you to buy the box set with the glass, etc. However the box set made them more money last year so I wouldn’t expect them to change it.

 

Looking forward to BQE as I drink a Hawk and Whale at Owl Farm...one of the best non barrel aged stouts I've had all year.

 

Their stouts have all been killer. Hoping for another BQE variant next year. Barrel Aged Hawk and Whale sounds awesome too, and those 2 Kane Stouts!

 

Do y'all remember what the price was for BQE last year? I recently received a schooling on BA stout pricing in the city via the Interboro thread, and I might be interested in adding this one to a BA-xtravaganza I'm planning for Christmas Eve/Day with my someday sister-in-law.

If they do a pre-order again, hopefully I can pick it up on a day other than Saturday as I don't think I could squeeze in both Finback and Sixpoint in the same day.

 

The box set they did was $110 but I don’t remember price per bottle. AB BQE was $16.

 

Does anyone know if this will this be a pre-order ticketed release?

 

I'm hoping they do a presale, if so it should be announced soon, but they're never 100% ticketed.

Price last year in the box set got a little out of hand.
$110 got you 1 2015 apple brandy bqe, 1 2015 bqe, and 2 2016 bqe+ a teku. So pretty much $25/bottle if you value the teku @ $10.
I forget how much it was per bottle at the brewery.

 

If it helps, I think they were selling the teku for $18, so like $23 a bottle.

Better, but I still don't fully get the pricing. Given the 4 2017 bottles are $60 total, it means they are charging $50 for the two older bottles - a $20 increase for those two bottles given they are "aged".

Really just which they would pre-sell a 2017 only version (and add on a service fee if needed). With the only way to buy it having it include old bottles, which I went to both releases, takes that option out for me.

 

I'm guessing that pre-sale goes quick...fingers on F5 everybody!

 

presale is for box set only correct? single bottles of this year i guess you need to line up get early to brewery? just making sure i am reading correct
