DC/MD/NoVA Beer Updates (2017)

Not a bad price at all. I think in certain areas, these beers just go unnoticed by the general buyer.

 

Founders killed it with the CBS release. It seems like anyone that wanted some, got some. Hope they have some killer BA series releases next year.

 

Heading down to Tysons Corner tomorrow from Baltimore. Not used to having so many Total Wines in close proximity. Do any stand out in terms of quality and inventory? Someone above mentioned Alexandria has the Abyss variants. I don't mind driving around as we'll be there for most of the day.

 

Looks like most TWs still have variants in stock per the web site. Alexandria is probably the best in terms of variety but at the same time it sells out the quickest for special releases. I would check out Norms and WF in Vienna as well as Dominion in Falls Church.

 

CBS at Whole Foods Springfield, $25

 

Any lines on Christmas Morning of KY Christmas Morning around the DC area would be much appreciated. I know the latter was just released at the brewery but heard quick distro times for the other GBS beers.

 

anybody seen Lagunitas Willetized Coffee Stout? I see it's popping up at some spots on the East Coast.

 

Dominion got Christmas Morning today so I'd expect to hit other shops in the area this week.

Only 1 case, and they're limiting it to 1 bottle per person.

I know High West sat on some shelves at some lesser known stores in DC. It was a shame IMHO. Beer was so so good. Particularly for the price point.

 

Not a better value than this beer or Born Yesterday. Both beers would sell out at $20/6 pack.

 

Are you saying not a good value? I never saw it for $20/6. I bought one at $14 and then one store clearly didn't know what they had and had it at $11/6. At either price point it's a steal because I would honestly pay $20/6.

 

No the exact opposite. An amazing value for the high quality. I’ve paid around 12-14 per sixer. Beers of comparable quality are easily at $20.

 

I think he's saying that nothing beats the value of this beer and BY, and even at a higher price they would both sell out.

Speaking of High West, any news on High West Victory at Sea? It's also popping up at other places around the country.

 

TW McLean has Willetized out on the floor. Looks like they got a decent amount. No limits. $13.99 a six pack.
