NE IPAs in Ohio?

going to Masthead Saturday for their new NE IPA can release. 11 am. No idea if its any good. But if its Fleeb level I'll be happy.

 

Not able to make it myself, but have a buddy pick some up for me. Same exact feeling. If it turns out to be like Fleeb, I'll be plenty happy.

 

Will be there tomorrow as well, but later at night. Seeing as Fleeb cans lasted over a week, I'm hoping the Tubes cans last until the nighttime. Super excited!

 

Man, I should go too. Love their pizza. TBH I like Noble Beast's (very close to Masthead) overall line better, but the food is good and the staff has been so friendly. Just happy to see small breweries popping up downtown.

 

Had Tubes today and it’s a little better then Fleeb. Masthead has been on point lately.

 

Completely agree. It was amazing and I am really liking everything they've put out lately.

Bought a 4-pack of Tubes, but still a little dumbfounded at the $18+tax/4-pack. Comes out to nearly $19.50/4-pack, which is more than I've seen Hoof, Trillium, some Monkish, etc.

 

agree on the price. Their stout was only $10.

but it was really good. Better than Fleeb.

 

I was actually shocked to see Jackie O's put out a NE IPA. It's called Dank Solich and is on tap at Rozi's right now.. not sure it's anywhere else as it's the first I've heard of it. Looks really good though!

Why don't you wait until all the hazebros complain about it not really being a NEIPA.

Someone find for me the posts that beace confirmed that a NEIPA (at least brewed by him) would be very unlikely.

So good!! Pumped they're getting another tank so they can start doing a release twice a month instead of once a month.

Yellow Springs Brewery releasing "Dr. Bunsen" NEIPA on January 20th. Over the past few months, Yellow Springs has been dropping these NEIPA installments. I have enjoyed em' all so far. This is their 3rd NE installment.

EDIT: They have previously released this before. But this is the first time it will be packaged.

 

Sunny Delight by Doric Foods is a home run, too.

 

Under $6.99 a four pack too.

 

Going to Masthead’s Anny party next weekend. Fully expect there to be a line this time. Each release has been gone progressively faster, plus they’re releasing what appears to be a lot of desireable offerings. Haven’t been a line guy for a while, but I’m alright with this one, as pretty much everything I’ve had from them has been really good.

Anyone else headed down?

 

I'll be there, though I may be in the minority that thinks Flat Earth is gonna be underwhelming. IMO Tubes was their best, and while Fleeb and Citra were really good, I definitely think they showed signs of being early attempts by a new brewery.

With that said, the stouts have increasingly blown me away and I'd go just to have more BA Winter Stout on draft, plus the food is great as well.

 

Given the Key Bump results today, I'd expect there to be a line of people at Masthead just due to getting shut out of that.
