Speaking of goose island, I have an extra ticket to the goose island / xrt Holiday show at the Chicago theater tonight with Spoon and Real Estate. Anyone want to go? I’ll trade the ticket for cost, best offer, delicious beer, or karmic forgiveness of past and future sins.

 

Damn. If I didn’t feel like shit, I’d jump at this. I love Spoon. They put on a great show.

Anyone know if the second drop is happening? I need to grab some regular for my brother for Christmas in the northern burbs and was hoping it would be easy like the last few years!

 

Where in the northern burbs? Gold Eagle in Libertyville had 8-10 bottles of regular by the register on Saturday morning. DiCarlo in Mundelein had 4-5 cases on the floor, but that was a couple weeks ago.

 

Thanks I can try golden eagle. I'm in buffalo grove so that's pretty close. Was hoping jewel would be getting more to be honest. They seem to be the cheapest aside from Costco.

 

Mariano's in Bannockburn had it last weekend. Have to as at the customer service desk. Seemed like they had 4-5 cases.

 

Each Whole Foods and Binny's that I've been to in Chicago has had regular still stocked. If you're that worried about getting it, I would drive into the city and grab some, then go enjoy a dinner or something.

I checked my purchase dates for the past 2 years, and I bought the 2nd drop on 12/18/15 and 12/15/16. So, maybe soon??? Last year there was so much regular after the 2nd drop it lasted for awhile.

 

Try calling Oak Trail Or Quick Pick in Mundelien, both had it last week too

 

Yeah I wish I had a city trip in my future, beer shopping and dinner sound like a solid night out. Was just hoping to catch it closer to home. It's my brother-in-law so I'm not THAT worried about it.

 

Where are you up there. I am going to the gurnee area and will pick you up a couple of bottles at cost.

 

For those in the north by me, Beer Bazaar in Hainesville (Grayslake) is doing their release Saturday morning at 10:00 AM.

I need to pick up a few BCBS reg. I've picked up none for myself yet. Hopefully there are still some laying around the Northbrook/Glenview/Skokie neighborhoods.

 

As I mentioned above, Mariano's in Bannockburn had regular last weekend. Behind the customer service desk. Not too far of a drive from Northbrook.

 

Looks like Prestige in Westmont had some Coffee and Northwoods drop by there today.

 

Prestige also had about 8 cases of Reg with no limit. $11.99 per.

 

Did you actually stop in? I saw them post it on beer menus but I thought prestige was questionable when it came to their posts

 

I was just in there about 2 hours ago, they had BW, Coffee, Northwoods and loads of regular.
