Your right. No growler fills to go. Although they will be doing a growler/ pitcher thing where a table can order a growler for a bit cheaper and share that on the table. Lets see how that works.

Honestly, not impressed with that. Good for a bunch of folks who want to drink the samething but that doesn't happen that often. And I doubt the varity will be there for a tasting style multi growler fill occasion.

 

I plan on being there Friday!

 

Yeah I don't like it either. I'll prob stop by tomorrow to grab a quick beer and check the place out

Exciting stuff! Those pork belly corndogs (and the wings...and the burgers...) are killer. Go.

 

Might have to disguise a "bike ride" to go there since ive got tomorrow and wednesday off......

looked it up on google, but can someone give me rough or direct directions from Austin? google doesnt seem to know where it is LOL

EDIT--found it, but it doesnt open til 4pm. Probably wont make it down since traffic going back and forth around the times id be there would suck.

 

The traffic will be horrible. That's why I never go to hay merchant, or evidently this place. Unless you want to sit there for three hours until the traffic dies down and be plastered as hell, there's no point in going.

 

I just want to go check it out. Grab some food and a beer and just check out the place.

 

You're going to miss out on a lot of places if traffic is a deterrent. You avoid Petrol, Saucer, Hay Merchant, and now Cottonwood because of...traffic?

 

Yep. Also hobbies.

 

Plenty of people here for being open 30 minutes.

 

I like this place overall. Good food. Good atmospher, plenty of parking, could use more knowledgeable staff both on liquor and beer but this place has great potential. Looking forward to what these guys have coming up. Saw few familiar faces and other bar owners stop by. The live band will definitely add to this place.
