I did my own vert a few years ago and Papier was awful then. 4 years out was the sweet spot we mostly all agreed on.

 

I have to imagine that set is the only way I'd ever get my hands on 100% BA Coton, but do I really need 4 other bottles with it when my cabinets are so full...DECISIONS

Yup. Snapped up a case. I opened a 2013 that was great, hoping this version does the same.

 

Why does Chocolate Rain seem to be the redheaded stepchild this year. It keeps reappearing sale after sale as part of some combo pack. Is it price too high OR is there an outrageous surplus of it?

 

Yep. Case for $48 - nice! Decent beer, but at this price it's a great deal. I missed out on the Anni set.

Anni set is back now, but 5 beers for $224 (w/disc).... Can't justify that right now.

 

I just haven't been a fan of CR recently. I much prefer MW but seems to be off the table for 2018.

Papier shows up on occasion. The last time I had it, it was an oxidized mess, that 100% Coton is insanely good though.

 

I had that coton over the summer, was REALLY sweet to me. it was fun to try, but I was kind of disappointed. As someone else said a post or 2 up, 3-4 yrs seems to hit my pallete as the sweet spot
