I wonder if you just missed it? It was at the front desk and I want to say it was around 12pm to 12:15pm if I recall correctly. They were putting one out at a time and a new person would grab it immediately. Nowadays with all the great barrel aged stout options, it was easy to pass since it was $26 a bottle.

Coffee and Prop were all the variants last year, though. So, the 2nd drop had everything, since Regularand Barleywine were also included in that drop. Add in the fact that Rare, Vanilla Rye and Prop ‘14 were also sent out in December, and it’s easy to see why people are expecting or hoping for a nice holiday surprise.

I’m very tempted, even if Chicago has manufactured this rivalry to be more than it really is. A chance to meet D-Mac is great, although I’m not sure a beer event is the best spot for him considering his history.

Both Arlington Heights and Wheeling got decent-sized second drops yesterday/today, but also just regular. AH is in back; Wheeling is on the floor. One case limit per person. Still $11.99 per bottle. Happy Friday, all!

I agree. A lot of it has to do with the wings changing conferences though.

Niles Binny's had about 20 cases of regular on the floor (unless some boxes were empty just for display/stacking purposes. They also had this year's snifters.

Oh, limit 4 on reg (interesting, given they had so much).

What's the difference between the $75 ticket and the $100 ticket? Seems like having early entry should be more expensive, not less. What did I miss?

Binny's Oak Brook had regular and Northwoods yesterday. Had to ask for it.

Quick reminder that tomorrow at The Beer Temple at 11:00AM we're tapping a 5 year vertical of BCS, 2013-2017.

I don't remember ever seeing a draft vertical like this before - we've been saving some of these kegs for a long time.

Not sure how long it will last so figured I would give folks a heads-up.

We can talk more about this offline sometime. I’ve got more thoughts on it, but no need to derail the thread (not like it’d be the first derailment though!)

To be on topic, I had a bottle of Reserve at Dark Horse last night. It was fantastic - I enjoyed it much more than when I had it on tap. It’s very similar to regular (which is how it’s supposed to be), but not quite as sweet.

Upon casually browsing the ISO FT trading forum on here, what in the hell is the deal with BCBS Prop 17? Why is it so heavily sought. Half the traders on there are in search of it...is that variant that much better?

Its good but being that it is Chicago only helps drive up value a lot, I personally put it behind the coffee and the northwoods
