I will be plenty happy with only the standards!

It is unfortunate that so many want to attend but cannot, but what can be done?

I think it is possibly scalpers who are more likely to blame than mules for an event like this. Scalpers and the increased popularity of Cantillon!

Scalpers? Are you seeing people sell these tickets anywhere?

I had tickets in 2016 for the 3:00pm slot. I didn't feel rushed or hurried to complete the pours in any way. I remember a bunch of people lingering around in the room where the CSG and the italian breweries were pouring because they weren't really monitoring tickets as closely there, but it seemed fairly straight forward that most people ate and drank and continued along their path through the brewery

No, but it just seems like there would be more money to be made by scalping than by giving a ticket to a hired mule to maybe get an unknown number and type of bottles.

I look forward to seeing others there and to any tips you can give to a first-timer to Cantillon and Belgium!

Does anyone know, are the normal bottles for sale to go as well that day? Or just whatever the event bottles? I will want to buy several bottles of regular gueuze and just want to make sure I will be able to do that and don't need to schedule to go a different day for that. Thank you!

Yes, no problem. May not even be any special bottles on sale. We’ll see

I know this was touched upon earlier in the thread, but I think it was all assumptions, do they require ID to match the ticket? I know in theory it shouldn't happen because the same name can be on all of the tickets. But does that person that bought all four need to be present? I have one ticket a friend gave me, and I'm worried I'll get turned away at the door.

Emailing them would be best. I emailed them asking if they need to know the name of my friend who will be using my 2nd ticket. They replied that I don't need to confirm the name. However, I didn't ask if the person who bought the tickets needs to be present.

Has someone created a Quintessence 2018 thread yet?
