Twin Cities Bottle Hunt - 2017

I don't remember how many bottles were for sale last year, but I think the 6,000 bottles for sale this year was a significant increase.

 

It is. Last year was 1,600, 1,400 online and another 200 in person at the party.

While maybe not good for those who trade a lot, I feel this has been the best year in a long time to get just about any beer u really want. Even CBS wasn’t that hard to grab.

 

Just getting home from Hudson and Woodbury - Casanova still has bottles of Hipster Brunch Stout (though the Rye is gone). They also had bottles of the O'so 10th anniversary beer (some triple hopped thing in 12oz bottles) and the Cannibal Corpse/3 Floyds beer (some amber beer - whatever, Cannibal Corpse sucks).

For you BiL peeps: MGM in Woodbury, for some reason, had bottles of Bell's Saturn on their "new beers" end cap - that's a 2015 bottling, I believe. Plenty of 2015 Commander, too. All of those "cellar" bottles they released earlier this week are gone. Whoever sniped those BA Narwhals - you have great taste. And I hate you.

 

I must have stopped at Casanova's just after you left. I picked up four selections of Odd Sides Ales beers and a couple of Boon Geuze bottles. I missed out on the Boon Geuze Discovery box. I also got a ticket for the Dark Beer Cave Fest at the end of January, 2018.

Let me know if you want to do a bottle share on the 'BA Narwhall' or 'Abraxas'.
