    This is quite intriguing...

Is Liberator still readily available in SE MI? I must have missed it.

I saw it at a couple stores in Livonia a few days ago. If there's a Busch's near you, they seem to get a fair amount of releases.

So I'm in my local Meijer getting a bottle of wine and in one of those center aisle displays on the bottom shelf is a Hoppy Holidays pack - sure it's been about 7 weeks since bottling and these are IPA's (albeit big boys for the most part) but I had to snag it.

Pleasantly surprised this was around and I'm happy to go a second round with the Hoppy Holiday 12 pack this year!!!

Just two weeks ago I saw 7 of these at my local Kroger as well but passed on it then and went in 4 days later and they were all gone - I wonder if they've survived this long on display or if they were in the back or something.........

So excited for this beer - last time I had this was out in the snow-filled woods. It was just just a good match to be drinking this in the woods of a Michigan winter - I wish more breweries did big low IBU winter beers that aren't stouts and BA stouts.........This being said I could go for a Piblican Porter right now as well!!!

I've seen a couple of them still sitting on the shelf at one of my local Meijer stores, and I'm pretty sure they have been on display since the initial release. I haven't finished all of my pack that I bought a month ago, and they are still tasting great.

I'm working on my third hoppy sampler! So many good beers in one sampler.

I'm drinking an Aww Jeah right now from the pack and, as one of my least favorite from the pack, it's drinking every bit as good as I remember from the ones I drank within the first week of distribution - not bummed at all with this purchase.....

I'm gonna ride this Holiday pack right into the Superfluid release next month - I've already got the $$ for a case. My absolute favorite IPA from Shorts - I'm kinda excited to see how our expanded distribution footprint thinks of this beer as it is so unique......

IMO, Liberator is just an aggressively bitter mess....a little lemon but extreme bitterness that pretty much wrecks your palate. Cup a Joe is excellent as always though.

I've had some excellent sour ales from Shorts. Fload was not one of them.

disagee, I thought it was really good. like a sour raspberry cabernet. peachy pom pom and critterless are still my favorite bottled shorts sours.

Tastes vary. Fully agree on Critterless. There was a Private Stache release earlier this year that was the best I have had from them.

Lol, I'm definitely in the minority here. Outside of a Berliner Weisse I'm not a fan of sour styles, and while I can appreciate what people see in them for me the fewer that are taking up space on the release schedule, the better.

That being said, Fload is probably the first one I would consider buying again because it reminded me of the time years and years ago when I was a manager for Godiva. There were these dark chocolate starfish filled with a very tart raspberry gel, and the flavor of Fload reminded me of them.

For my fellow GR area Shorts fans, the Family Fare in Grandville (44th & Wilson) has about 12 Hoppy Holidays packs on the floor right now.

Same opinion here. Fload was really good, but Peachy and Critterless are still the best. I love sours and I hope Short's keeps on with the sour series in 2018.

Anyone want to hide a Gin barrel aged Melt My Brain at Short's Mart for me until I can get there on Jan. 4th? I love Melt My Brain and I just missed this one in 2015/2016. Seems the holiday crowd I try to avoid for my Shanty trip gobbles up all the private stash beers before I can get there :slight_frown: Atleast I scored some Bourbon Publican and Sucker Punch last year.
