    This would make sense, as I have never picked up on that infamously delicious "melon" flavor that everyone (myself included) loved in the OG batch in any of their other beers. They have made plenty of other IPAs using Mosaic/Motueka, but not too many using Chinook. So I thought (hoped) that perhaps they'd figured out some innovative way to make an old-school C-hop taste like fresh squeezed honeydew juice... But it sounds like there was just something magic in the Gowanus air on the day OG was brewed :confused:

    New green power is not what the first green power was but way better than ddh imo.

    I agree. It doesn’t quite hit the same melon tone, but shed the gross peanut-butteryness of the over-chinooked DDH rendition. AGE on the other hand seems to reproduce the melon flavor and then some... but with some syrupy booziness that adds up to a pretty different beer. Tried both last night, AGE seemed to have the edge though it was palette-wrecking enough that I don’t trust my assessment of GP just yet.

    Definitely not complaining. Didnt think id have a chance to pick any up after work today. Now i got some hope. Not a ton of hope, but still.

    Made it over yesterday (for all the Jersey heads) traffic was not a problem. I missed the first Green Power release but I really enjoyed the can I had last night it had a slight bitterness that so many recent releases have lacked.

    Also is it bad that I just now realized there is an "H" that forms inbetween the two "O's" in their logo, i.e. OH?
