Finally hit NEPA this week. Sabatini's had a stack of cases yesterday. Wegmans had them broken down into singles at $2.49.
The above review is right on, heavy on the coffee at this point and a little hot, should be great right around the superb owl.

Super bowl....I would guess? I like Superb Owl. "Will you be watching the Superb Owl this year?" "Why yes. I will."

Are you sure? I thought it dropped in the East Bay/SF already.

Picked up one six-pack and looking forward to doing to a side by side with 2017 High Westified. It went pretty fast just like HW when it hit last year but HW has hit my local bottle shop three times this year, not sure if they're holding cases and setting them out very so often.

Yeah it dropped in the East Bay / SF area at many places (BevMo and TotalWine to name a few)...some as early as 2 weeks ago. He may have gotten it by now but you know how that goes....one place gets it and the place down the road doesn't for another 2-3 weeks.

High-westified turned up here tap-only, but Willetized hasn't turned up at all. Perhaps they couldn't capture enough Willets

It finally dropped down here in the South Bay on Wednesday.

Got a six pack yesterday. It was too late to open up both High-Westified and Willettized so I just tried the Willettized. I'm thinking it's more bitter, more dark chocolate than High West was. High West to me was all Whiskey and Cream. Willettized seems more Chocolate and Whiskey.

FWIW there is a predominant difference between High Westified and Willettized. I don't know if it's barrel related. The aroma and initial flavor of High-westified is heavy dark brown sugar and sweet cream. That's missing in Willettized. As I stated above, Willettized comes on with lots of bitter dark chocolate. But there is definately less sweetness. Not that it's bad, but I think I like High-westified better.

Agreed. High West was a lot sweeter, richer. Willet is pretty bitter and even a little spicy.

I assume this has to do almost 100% with the barrels. I should compare the High West Rye with Willet Rye to confirm this.

It is. Willet Rye has a pretty good bite.

Still havent seen it where I live. But I saw it in FL when we were there for Christmas. We were at a bottle shop grabbing a beer with friends. Was four dollars for a bottle, no cork fee. Really bummed I didn't get it.
