Yes, right in line with the $1/oz threshold that people seem willing to bear.

I know I personally won't go over that for many beers.

Ok? And that was still really expensive. In comparison, this would have been a $32 bottle if it were CBS sized. Some people are fine with paying that, personally I’m not for what will probably end up tasting like every other Jackie O’s barrel aged stout.

So you are saying it will taste like the nectar of the gods? Count me in then!!

I am with you on that... I do enjoy JO's stouts and such, don't get me wrong... But I do find the BA offerings a bit too barrel heavy for my tastes with the same signature flavor profile... And while I know it is done purposely, the thin body doesn't do much for me across all their stouts. So I tend to pass them up now on the shelf and go for other BA Stout offerings if in the mood (not often) that offer a bit more excitement in terms of barrel balance, mouthfeel, etc...

I bet we have an unpopular opinion on here, especially for those who seek the pungent barrel notes JO does offer (nothing wrong with it!), but it's just not for me except on rare occasions.

Something like CBS, Victory's Java Cask and Six Point's BBA 3-Beans are more my style in terms of how the base beers can be balanced nicely with the barrel. Far more exciting and palatable for me.

They are maintaining their kettle sour series, but will be doing 8 sours/year instead of 12 as they thought they were coming out too fast. So expect each one to be out for like a month and a half. So 4 of them will no longer be around, but I don't know which ones yet. Just know City Boy, Disco Godfather, Smokin' Fineapple and I believe Cherry Darling are 4 that are staying for sure.

I snuck a couple 'Java the Stout' Cans into the theater. So you can have both.

Not sure about Cleveland, but I just found some at Kenny Road Market in Columbus this morning. 1 bottle limit.

Have you tried any of the JO's BA stuff recently? I believe Brad commented somewhere in the Jackie O's thread that all adjunct stouts have increased the amount of adjunct put in them this year. Its partly based on customer demand/feedback. Anyway from my personal experience the maple in this year's BBBM really shined through and not just the barrel.

Also Jackie O's has kept most BA stuff at $11.99 for some time even with adding more expensive ingredients to it, so I don't have a problem with it.

Is Trek ever going to pour any beer? Has anyone tried anything from them and want to share an opinion? Holy cow do they blog and update, and crowfund, and sell merchandise a lot but not a single drop of liquid yet.

I believe they are waiting on the current Seventh Son brewhouse. So until the new brewery is operational it sounds like they're in limbo.

Looks like Brew Dog is building a bar in Cleveland somewhere, according to their FB page.

I for one, am quite excited. I like the place in Columbus, I am all for another cool bar/taproom if it's in a good location (hopefully this won't be downtown or in Ohio City). We shall see!

Maybe they will move into the soon to be ex-fat head’s location in middleburg. Personally, I would rather see Willoughby move in, but anything good would be welcome.

Couldn't agree more about your Jackie o''s sentiments. They all taste like weak base beers with incredible barrel notes.

Unfortunately they're the exact same barrel notes... so buying every new barrel aged stout they put out is an exercise in repetition.
