Blue Moon was not fooling around when they named this beer "Pacific Apricot Wheat." Strong apricot smell and taste.

An oversized beer calls for an oversized glass:

My daughter asked me to "play Tinkerbell" on the piano. That's ... that's not a thing, is it? So I gave her some improvised "Tinkerbell" song, and then I gave myself some time. This song is beautiful on acoustic guitar, piano, really any way you choose to present it.

    Cheers!

.... it's good. I've yet to find a wine-influenced stout that's a home run with me, and this one is no exception. However, it is really well made, and I gave it a 3.79.

Nice one inch head that dissipates down to a ring in a few minutes, but comes back with a couple swirls. Nice floral and fruity nose. Taste follows suit with a not too bitter finish. The feel is where this really stands out. A solid offering from the Frost family. Cheers!

I think I noticed recently this overtook Master of Karate for highest rated. I found it more juicy and probably better constructed as a “juicy IPA” that MoK, but I could think differently tomorrow.

I recall the same. What I don’t recall is if I have one more to re-verify. I think not, but I’ll be sure to post if I find differently. Cheers and happy holidays!

WTF!?! Rejoin us ASAP after the holidays

On the Siracusa, I wanted to hate it to spite @PatrickCT, but honestly agree - it’s well made but has what I found as a high tannin level just beyond what I’d have liked.

Home and onto some fresh Break the Bank. Magnify sometimes has consistency issues but this collab with Barrier Brewing is always great. In fact, this may be the best batch ever!

My next beer, and my first ever Firestone Walker beer.

    DBA from Firestone Walker.

I picked this up in Iowa Wednesday. I saw a lot of their IPAs, but they were bottled/canned back in June, so I passed. I did pick up this one, and I like it.

Taste - intersting. I get a lot of flavors, but all are somwhat on the mellow side. I get some sweetness. Some malt. Slight hop bitterness. I almost get a hefe flavor to this beer.
Feel is pretty decent bodied. Some carbonation feel.
First Firestone Walker beer, that I picked up in Iowa, and I like it.

I have to agree with you about Aslin. @cjgiant gave me six of them. Four of the six were just downright awesome. The other two were just a shade under awesome. I cannot comment on any other beer styles they may brew but their double IPAs are world class. And I am comparing them with Veil and Triple Crosssing, both of which brew great double IPAs.
