Is Sailor's Kush still going strong? I think I need one more 4-pack for the holidays...

Stopped by tonight for a pint, then stopped in the shop and they still had a cooler full.

Looking forward to Animal Law. HA is killing it with these can IPAs.

Sailors Kush and Animal Law are my two favorite beers from Half Acre. So glad to see animal law in cans

A little woozy this morning from the Kush's impact.
Also a total nut for the Gentle Gentle (cherry ale/sour). Never was into 'em that much, but Paul (at HA) converted me... Been fun. We're out. Adios!

A parting love letter/image for all the HAheads in this forum. Happy solstice and holidays.
A shot of two of my faves at HA during our 2017 stay: the Gentle Gentle sour and the Sailor's Kush. Cheers!

Sailors Kush i think is as close to NEIPA as HA will get and my god is it fantastic. Retains the bitterness and hoppyness while having the soft juicy feel with out being so damn sweet.

Had it at Balmoral and enjoyed it. I think it had 0 NE qualities though so I disagree on that front

0? But it's hazy, full-bodied and juicy! It's more in the Alchemist vein to me, but I definitely think there's a decent NE argument to be had here.

Disclaimer: I've had 3 cans, but haven't had it on tap, so I wonder if there are any differences there.

Sorry for the rookie questions but can anyone confirm if they sell beer to go from the brewpub and if so if cafe deth is available? Also how kid friendly is that location if I stopped with little ones today for lunch (early)? Tried searching their site but couldn't find much.

I agree, Great beer, tons of fruit explosion, but I didn't get any similarities to anything we would label NEIPA in Chicago. I was impressed by this beer.

American Elder was delicious as well.

Animal Law on tap was great; hopefully the cans will keep the qualities I remember liking... meanwhile, thank God I brought back Kush 4packs, making the Half Acre withdrawals symptoms a little less noticeable around the house... that and Fluorescent. And Lead Feather. And Tuna, and... you get the point...

If you’re ever feeling an itch, Beer Temple and Beer Cellar (in the burbs) each have an on-line store that will ship beer, so you’ll be able to get Tuna, Navaja, most anything that sees wide distro.

Thanks man, yeah, once my muled batch is gone in a few weeks, I'll re-order undoubtedly. In the past I used West Lakeview Liquors, with some variable results...but after my visit to Beer Temple, I was sold. That place is awesome... was a short walk, too, to Kuma's for a giant burger to sober up a bit.
Cheers to all Chicagoans... glad you guys got some snow on Xmas!

Id also help with shipping Half Acre, or otherwise. Spreading beer cheer, especially Half Acre, is one of my favorite pastimes.
